Running a demo of one of my favorite CQB drills, which molds many segments of performance which we see with great consistency in FOF - into one drill that enables many reps. In addition, this drill is still primarily driven by the need to identify (contextually), rather than just blaze when the person sees the paper (non-contexualy).
In the recent years,I have also concluded that slice-based entries if taught wrong and conditioned wrong might push individuals into preventable, premature engagements without proper identification in situations of high intensity, as the segmented consumption of the angles results in the individual's anticipation builds up in conjunction to how he will visually see a person figure in close quarters due to geometry (commonly hands/limb extremities first) alongside to how the angles may provide pre-fight indicators.
long story short - Shooting fast in CQB anyone can do. Working Identification and all that relates to it whether before or after, is another story.
