Here is another outtake from a recent training session where Randy went over the basics for moving down a hallway with a shield - specifically one without a viewport - the issues they present, and how to work around them successfully.

You have to trust each other as teammates and be cohesive in your movements. Practice and drill over and over. Force on force with simunition is a good idea. Muzzle past flesh is absolutely necessary if you want to shoot. Great points. Otherwise I could see guy on shield approaching threshold, starts taking gunfire and an automatic reaction is to flinch or jump back away from a door. And guy on gun reaction is to return fire. There’s a possibility guy with shield gets hit with friendly fire right in the back.

That low carry you demonstrated at the end for sure covers up the pelvis and upper thighs which seems critical.
