Roki bless you for doing this series because now I don't have to explain those things to people over and over again, I could just send 'em to your channel!

I did not know about the moving of the AA piece after turning off the radar works. I always thought, that when the radar missile is locked on, that's it for the AA piece. Thanks for that!

Transports are also great when your enemy is using flame infantry like Spetsnaz. In that case, it's better to send the transports first. They can absorb lots of napalm with 1 armor, and panic the infantry.

+Cross88 yep, exactly. These XA-186NO's are perfect for tanking any HE damage, be it flamer infantry or rocket pods

Didn't know that SEAD missiles locked into last place - thought they always hit once they locked on.

I've found that even mg equipped transports can work pretty well against lightly armored stuff. Used them to great effect once when my infantry was getting hit by a helicopter swarm so I, out of desperation and air support, rushed all of my infantry transports directly at the enemy heli's and they actually were able to push the attack back.

I sort of said this for the last video, but I would suggest making a tutorial on hotkeys and such, it would probably help many learn to use and command their units more effectively.

There is kind of an advanced version of that fire support tactic is to kite infantry with them by issuing a reverse command as soon as they start aiming so they fire a burst then back out of range immediately before the enemy can fire AT rockets at them. I'm sure you do this too when you have the time to micro, just didn't want to go into it in this video but I thought I would mention it in your comments. I also try to bring transports in at other angles so if they do get popped they don't morale dmg my infantry. Sometimes though I just purely OVER micro and it costs me in my Macro game. I'm way better at micro than macro sometimes. There is a definitely balance to achieve between microing and using techniques that minimize micro and allow you to focus more on the Macro game.

Thanks Razzmann, can you maybe do a short tutorial on reading the map and where to place units ?

Planes are so fast, you rarely have the time to see this coming and do it. unless you are just camping the map and waiting.

Good video. You can avoid sead missiles with rapiers easily if you turn off them while they are moving on a road. Sending transport to fight with infantry is not always a good idea. An enemy can turn off mg for a second/manually attack transport and kill it which will deal moral damage to your infantry. And one thing I don't understand... If you engage stack of 2 infantry with 1 infantry and 1 transport, will enemy's infantry be able to kill transport without additional micro?
@RazzmannWG8 жыл бұрын
+The2x32 Yes, you are absolutely right when it comes to the turning off mg / manual attack. Though that requires micro and the enemy may not look at this front at this moment etc. etc. And if both squads shoot their MG then they won't attack the vehicle, so no.

Cool videos. Something on recon and line of sight maybe. In my experience that is what screws noobs the most. So effects of forests, buildings, terrain elevation (both the obvious like mountains and hills and the less obvious like the beaches or river banks), smoke/napalm effects. For real noobs, it would have been nice if the information was more condensed, but that requires more preparation (notes, maybe some editing) so it's hard to demand someone sacrifice more of their free time.

+Lukasz Markiewicz It's not so much about it costing time, I just try to keep them fairly short and not overwhelm people with information, formulas etc., because that can drive people away from the game just like the game itself (in a way that they might think they need to learn a lot o fstuff before actually having fun at the game). And also this is not necessarily supposed to be a basic tutorial for "real noobs". I try to not make videos about basic stuff like Recon etc. because those have already been done. (Just search "Wargame Recon" and you find a tutorial for it, there is no need for me to do that) What you don't necessarily find though, are those "little tricks" I try to present and explain here, they can easily make a big difference (for example when it comes to using fire support in forests).
@Urobulos868 жыл бұрын
+Razzmann I know there are videos spread out throughout KZbin which explain the basics pretty well (Little Tin God has a couple vids on basic unit micro, Priad had some cool tricks explained as well); but it would have been cool to have a single playlist to point to, if a noob friend wants to get started with the game as right now Wargame resources are pretty scattered (200 page manual excepted, but you can only get so far by reading only) Then again, maybe Eugen should get their shit together and make proper tutorials or their own KZbin channel to explain the game, rather than rely on unpaid fan work :P Anyway, wasn't really criticising, I love your videos, watch every single one. Keep up with the good work.
@RazzmannWG8 жыл бұрын
+Lukasz Markiewicz Nah don't worry, even if it was not criticising, exactly that helps me to improve, no? :) Yeah Eugen really needs to step up with their tutorials. They did such stuff for AoA, so let's hope they'll do it for their next games too. But who knows, if many people want the basic stuff covered too, I'll maybe do that. And thanks!
