How cold do your hands get in the winter months having them in the water so much? Interesting to see how orange the shore crab gets when bowled. Reminds me of crayfish. Best of luck on the upcoming foraging tides. 👍🇨🇦

Hey Jay, I've heard if you add a splash of vinegar into cooking water it will prevent the meat sticking to shell, maybe give it a go. Cheers Jason Australia

Looks like what we call a "Sunray clam" cause of the radiated pattern on the shell...over here (on the Florida gulf coast) they get about 6 inches long.

Hello from across the pond! Over here in New England, European shore crabs are invasive and don't have very many predators, and multiply out of control. It's too bad that the shore crab didn't taste as good. They don't seem to get that big here (probably because they're overpopulated). I've always wanted to trap a bunch and see if I can make a seafood stock out of them. I can fill a large bucket with them in about an hour because they are so abundant here. Unfortunately, they're also usually covered in mud, so I'd have to blast them pretty well before boiling them.

The next time you cook a Lobster and crab use a little vinegar in the water just before you dispatch them and the Lobster meat will slide right out of the shell. Use a small amount of vinegar about two real tablespoons. Then you can dispatch the Lobster and season it and cook it IMMEDIATELY a little Butter will help the taste. Some of my friends use a few pinches of Curry and Thyme leaves with a Bay leaf. I personally don't like to use Curry. But to each there own. Your videos are great for survival. I just ordered the T Shirt that you are wearing! Just waiting for the confrontation number and tracking number. It says that the T Shirt is in high demand!

Jay, love your channel and been watching for awhile. One piece of advice, you have to give (name) shoutouts to those who send you stuff, as a way to thank them. And no, I haven’t sent anything. Write their name on the seasoning bottle (or whatever they send) or something as a way to give a proper “thank you”. Your fans are everything…don’t forget that sir. Thank you.
