There is a slight difference in taste in the crabs we catch in saltwater compared to the ones we catch in freshwater.

I agree with Merry Apple. I would love a cook book too. How big is your steamer? I was thinking of getting one. Your adventures look like so much fun. I do like crabbing and when we went to Galveston we caught over 100 crabs. What bait do you guys like to use? I used some pin fish we caught and cans of tuna fish and it worked well. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you for sharing ideas on how to cook the seafood you catch. I have several written down and will try them in the Spring when we go to Galveston again.

We're thinking about a cookbook. For bait most of the time we use what is left over when we clean our fish and pin fish also. That pot was 12 quarts. Enjoy your crabbing and fishing. Thanks a lot for Watching

I always enjoy watching your crabbing videos. Has someone myself who is experienced with pulling crab pots and setting crab pots. May I recommend that you put the Rope on the iron and the Crab Pot. Putting the Rope on the iron and the Crab Pot and making your tie connection at the iron and the Crab Pot takes all of the stress off of The Crab Pot when pulling it up.

I thought once you took the shell off, they were instantly dead. I noticed one that was just flapping its legs after the tp shell was taken off . Does that cause them any pain when dispatching them this way? Have you ever thought about putting them on ice first to put them to sleep before dispatching them? I can't stand for ANY animal or even little creatures to suffer. Once, when I was visiting my husband's family, some people came over that caught some fush. They started scaling them when they were still alive. I had to go inside. It made me nauseous.

in Italy in the last two years we have been invaded by these blue crabs. each person with just 40 cages takes at least a quintal a day. Here males pay 15 euros per kilo and females 8. All the Chinese buy them.

@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors They say they arrived here in the ballast tanks of merchant ships from the USA. Then some Italians contacted Mariland fishermen about how to make cages. There are people here who only make cages for work. I make one in 40 minutes.
