When you commented about Ackbar it made me realize how OP adding any more attack dice would be. Maybe they can errata flotillas out of Ackbar before any Dornean Gunships come out.

I recently used Plo Koon against a flotilla. It was awesome to automatically block that scatter. My opponent brought his gozanti too close to my fleet and I sent my squadron ball right for his flotilla to destroy an activation. Sure there were more dangerous targets, but he was first player and out activated me.

Smart move! I've thought that making flotillas their own phase like making them go first in the squadrons phase might be a way to help balance out activation spamming while allowing more than a couple in a fleet. Other kinds of fleets (halo UNSC, for example) would really thrive thematically with lots and lots of flotillas being available in squad building.

Blame Asmodee not AMG. They are responsible for the corporate shuffling.

Armada is not dead. AMG paused development because they were overwhelmed with FFG giving them 3 new games to develop.
