The ghosts of Painters Mill. What a place to see a concert. I was probably there. What us 80's rockers would do to go back in time and see Crack the Sky on a Saturday night at the mill. Thank you to whomever posted this.

I came late to the CTS party too. Discovered them in the late 80's early 90's or so. Finally saw them at Camden Yards in 2003. Great band! Tight as F, even then. All the changes and jumps and stops and starts in their songs... they NEVER missed a beat.
@if66was992 жыл бұрын
That was festival seating (standing) with maybe 300-400 people there. I wiggled, finagled, pushed myself right up to the very front row. Right beside the stage left speaker cabinet. I probably lost 10% of the hearing in my right ear that night. Small price to pay for R'n'R! :-p

I used to see them & bought a few of their albums when I was in high school in the mid - late 70's. Growing up in Phila, we'd all cross the Tacony-Palmyra bridge to go to the giant bars set up in old warehouses that lined the main road leading to the bridge, since the drinking age was 18 in NJ but 21 in PA. Crack the Sky was probably the best band who played those "clubs". Most of the other bands were lame Kiss / Aerosmith cover bands. By the time of this 1982 show Cheeze Rock like Boston, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, Van Halen had taken over the airwaves, & it sounds Painfully like they're trying to sound & look like what was popular at the time. No wonder I lost interest in them. I don't recognize any of the songs . . . at the beginning at least . . .
