Xian Li was just a common internet surfer downloading pirated softwares like many 3. Software are still rotating and many interested enemy agency/company/nation may have learnt a lot of secret 4. US Intelligence and Security exaggerated as shown in hollywood they are average in reality. Why didn't they catch the culprit inside who leaked or fix the loopholes in their servers. For some reason Feeling sad about Xian li and the kid :( 12 years is too harsh punishment I think..
