Crackdown on illegal scooters

Mayor Adams and the NYPD announced a new plan to remove illegal mopeds and scooters from the streets. In addition to being a danger to pedestrians, they also say thieves use these vehicles to escape a crime scene quickly. FOX 5 NY’s Linda Schmidt takes a closer look at this concerning the new trend and what the city is doing about it.

Wow.. Way way too much blame on the scooters.. The real problem is the people who are criminals . I have a scooter and ride it all over and to work.. It saves me $$, it uses way less gasoline and pollutes way less than a car/suv/truck, and it good for the environment. BTW I don't do any crime just use it for transportation.. and it is registered.. A Scooter can be a good thing.. Seems like instead of smashing the scooters and acting like its a great super smart accomplishment.. Maybe they can sell them to responsible people who will use them in a positive, non-criminal way. That way the NY city can make some money too.
