Cracked Shower Pan Repair On The Cheap

today I am showing you how I fixed our cracked shower pan with just a few tools, some spray foam and white epoxy.
It worked out just fine and the repair is holding up so far.

Very detailed! Thank you! I'm anxious to know how it holds. I might go ahead and try this in a camper. The shower pan is going to get replaced and it doesn't get mich use so I think this will be ok for a couple camping trips...

How is that working out? Did you do it this way or use fiberglass at all?

No fiberglass but I had to redo it. The epoxy didn't hold up.

Are fiberglass shower pans more susceptible to cracking in pier and beam houses that inevitebly move a bit here and there? My shower pan just cracked and I heard a contractor say fiberglass pans sometimes will crack on pier and beam houses that move a bit.

I put too much foam in the holes and after it dried, it is now raised way too much. Any idea to fix this mess?

Try to stand on it. The foam might give way. But i give no guarantee that it will work.

Just get a shower mat to cover it

How deep did you drill the big hole

Just through the pan. I didn't want to disturb the styrofoam pan carrier below. I just filled the cap between the carrier and the pan.

It didn't hold up. The white marine epoxy didn't bond to the shower pan. I am in the process of making a follow up video. In my next attempt I am using whit marine sealant made by 3m.
