This is an impressive breakdown for interview prep. Out of all the videos Google supplied for the interview process; this was BY FAR the most informative and caused the most/best notes and great interview prep strategy. Your work is truly appreciated!

I have an interview with google as well

@@Lovelyisyourstory Good Luck! While I felt the preparation went very well, I was only asked one question (What product I think is a good product but has not succeeded in the market), then every single question was built on that, but the same question types for the entire interview. I did not get the job but have applied again. I feel strongly that my skills and experience are made for the position so, try and try again :) Good LUCK!

Thanks so much. It was a very good and one of the best video I have seen and surely going to help me in my preparation. Moreover it give me a broader perspective of the role I was playing already. Amazing work and thanks once again for taking out your time to build this video to help.

Thanks a lot for sharing this video. I'm an MBA from BYU and I have a PM interview this week with Amazon. You helped me to get inspired!

I'm in the same position. Can you tell me what the process was like? I have an interview in 2 days
@xxxgabaxxx7 жыл бұрын
In my case: first day - 2 interviews of 30 minute back to back, in the same day they replied saying that I was invited for the final round, which was the next day. final round - 2 interviews of 45 minutes back to back. In around 3 days they replied offering me the internship. I applied for PM and their Retail Leadership program, but for PM I wasn't invited for the final rounds. I guess Amazon process depends on your school as well...

I have the 2 back to back 30 minute interviews coming up. What type of questions should I focus the most on? What tips did you use to prepare?
@xxxgabaxxx7 жыл бұрын
- Use the 14 principles to answer all the question they ask (remember always to put the customer in the first place)!!! - Know their products. Try to see what you like and dislike about them and prepare to answer why you like, and how would you improve the products. - Have a good answer of why you want to work there (use the 14 principles and their culture) - Basic behavioral questions (times when you failed, your best qualities, when you did something else that was not your responsibility)

Great presentation. Bought your book on Kindle. By the way, nearly every PM position I have seen on job boards says "MBA preferred"

Don't we have a video from Jackie Bavaro ? who I believe is better apt at PM topic. Gayle's bio-data isn't that of a developer?

The content of this video is great and useful. But the pace, intonation, and flow in her speaking make it hard to follow and stay through the 50min presentation. I'm wondering how she's able to speak about effective communication when she is not.

awkward pausing throughout the video makes it hard to listen to
@GalGavish7 жыл бұрын
OMG! This is a horrible presentation. She can barely get through a sentence without stumbling. The content was good, especially if you're just starting out as a PM but it was very hard listening to it. Also, nitpicking, if you're presenting, go into presentation mode with your slides so we don't see things like "Click to add title".
@GayleMcD7 жыл бұрын
Google Hangouts, like most screen sharing tools, doesn't support this. Believe me - I know how to use presenting mode.
@GalGavish7 жыл бұрын
Dear Gayle, I was a Product Manager at WebEx. I've used Hangouts in the past, as well as Citrix GoToMeeting, Skype sharing, Zoom, JoinMe, Microsoft Lync, Adobe Connect and many other tools. I know for a fact that they support full screen perfectly well.

Content was good, but the presentation was terrible. This was like 15-20 min of content but she couldn't get through a single sentence without repeating, stuttering, or stumbling somewhere. How did she even become a PM without being able to articulate her thoughts properly..
