Rush Hour is pretty cool, but (at least to me) Distortion is by far the best record store in Amsterdam. It's a fucking gold mine, there's records everywhere and you could easily dig for _days_ in there.

Laura González but you should come during festival season. We mainly have amazing festivals (Dekmantel - one of the very best in the world, Lentekabinet, DGTL, Woodstock Bloemendaal, Wildeburg, ZeeZout, Into the Woods and Draaimolen to name a few).

Plamen2007 I am an Amsterdammer and totaly agree with you. Amsterdam nightlife is great, and yes there's a lot of things happening, but nothing that special. The love for our city, can make us feel arrogant at times, but we really should not. Amsterdam has its unique characteristics just like every other city.
