Hi! Nice video. I'm an Amsterdam resident who loves to go thrifting. The shops and markets you visited are nice, but all of them are either resellers or curated vintage stores. Hence the prices. If you want to go thrifting cheaper you can visit stores like Rataplan. Those are large spaces outside of the city center that are more comparable to Goodwill or Salvation Army. There's also a small charity shop at Haarlemmerstraat 146-148 called Volksbond, where people donate clothes. The profits go to the homeless shelter next door. That one is close to the city center. There are also a lot of curated vintage stores and nice coffee places on that street. Greets from Amsterdam :)

Those are not thrift stores! They are expensive second-hand stores. They buy in bulk so typically they have similar items. Though it is not as bad as in Paris, where all second-hand stores literally carry the same inventory. There are over a dozen real thrift stores in Amsterdam, but you have to know where to look. The best city in the Netherlands for thrifting is Utrecht, which has about 20 thrift stores in the city and another 20 in the agglomeration (excluding the dozen or so expensive 'vintage' second hand shops).

Hi, there. I'm from Holland and I don't go to these places to go thrifting... Waaaay to expensive! I live in the middle of Holland in a place called Nieuwegein, we have 5 thrift stores here in Nieuwegein. The prices are pretty decent. At one thrift store all clothes are 4 euro! I even bought a leather jacket for 4 euro and a leather bag for 2€ the other thrift stores are a bit more expensive but they don't come close to how expensive Amsterdam is. Most of the times a good leather jacket is about 20 to 25€ a dress about 8 to 15€ and short skirts, short jeans 4€ a sweater is about 6 to 8€ so next time get into the country!!

Haha I live in Amsterdam and I pretty much never buy clothes anymore because of how expensive and unexciting the second hand stores are. Now, i only buy used clothes on occasion, & new clothes only when needed. My studio is too small to fit them anyways haha

God but these are expensive! In my country we thrift shirts and skirts for 5 euro, dresses and sweaters for 10-15 and a winter jacket for 20 :O

My question is, wouldnt it make more sense to buy European brands than American brands thrifted in Europe? Levis and Lees are American so you can find them here for maybe 20ish especially since theres no VAT refund on resell and the Euro is stronger than the USD. Also, I'm curious to know if those sweaters were Cashmere because if they were, thats not bad.
