I have a dream that there will be karaoke bars that have cradle of Filth songs . They are my favorite band of all time.

MrFaceeatingcancer CoF songs are too hard for karaoke bars. Maybe for comedy clubs, watching people attempt to hit all the perfect notes and vocals while failing miserably :D

Dani's lyrics and voice is always on another level over any extreme, dark , death, ect ect artists...... He sets the bar for being unique by balancing chaos with harmony. I really hope the release a full DVD/CD from stuff off this record and other diamond in the rough tracks from records in the past. Peace through Superior Firepower was such a wicked DVD of theirs. Thumbs up so they consider doing this

Damn. Cradle nailed it. A little background.... I've been a long time fan and loved everything from The Principle of Evil Made Flesh up to and including Bitter Suites To Succubi. I have many rare editions such as the Celtic Cross Cruelty and the Beast Limited Edition digipack. Damnation and a Day was okay but in my opinion not that great and is the point where I as a fan began to lose interest. Nymphetamine was a step up from Damnation and a Day and I thought it was pretty damn good for being the "newer" stuff at the time. Standout tracks for Nymphetamine include but aren't limited to Coffin Fodder, Swansong for a Raven, Filthy Little Secret, and Nemesis. Nymphetamine is still my favorite album from DAAD on up. The album flows so smoothly and all of the songs are good. I really loved how the twin guitars were incorporated and there were a decent amount of solos which is a treat for someone like me. This was followed up by Thornography and at first I thought was a flop. I didn't despise it or think it was trash, but back in 06 I thought it was mediocre and blah. However now in 2021 I've been taking a look back at Cradle as it's been a long time and gave Thornography a spin.... and I gotta say Thornography as a whole has aged quite well and I was to hasty to judge the album. While I don't think it's as good as Nymphetamine, it's a solid follow up and I like both of them a lot better than DAAD. After Thornography, I stopped following Cradle for a long time... until recently January 2021. I've only heard parts of albums/songs after Thornography and it didn't grab my attention. However, today I just listened to the song "Right Wing of the Garden Triptych" from Hammer of the Witches. And I gotta say the twin guitars, the melodies, Dani's vocals, the atmosphere, I think beginning with this album Cradle is making a comeback for old school fans such as me. I'm going to give this album a chance as well as the following one Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness of Decay. I think the magic is back with Cradle and I'm far from an expert on the state of band members, but I think it was the signing of the 2 new guitar players around 2015 (forgive me if I'm wrong) that brought me back into the fold. I can be a picky bastard when it comes to the music I enjoy, but as I get older I appreciate Cradle's discography more and more. With Thornography growing on me over time and this album Hammer of the Witches just goes to show the versatility and talent of my favorite metal band Cradle of Filth. V empire will always be my favorite work done by Cradle. Yes I know it's an EP and yes it was rushed but there's something about it. It oozes atmosphere, the raw energy, the melodies.... Amazing.
