This traditional folk song was given new lyrics by Bev Pegg and was on his 1980 LP "The Foundry Ditty and the Industrial Air". The song relates to many of the traders in the Cradley and Cradley Heath area of the Black Country.

this is great. i remember lewis foley well, in 1975 i was in Brierley hill, and he was getting his lion laddo out of his estate car on a chain, and i asked him if i could stroke the lion and he said yes. so i Did. what a Beautiful lion he was, and he took him into the Horseshoe Hotel in the front Door, and the people were running out of the side Door, Down more street so funny 1975. But great memories,
