The art style is the only good thing about this short. This is a really meh cartoon. It feels like they made the violent fight scenes first and the plot after. The pacing is extremely fast, the plot is "they go to a store and violence happens seconds later". They don't flesh out the characters, they don't even take a second to explain the orange girl's connection to penny or the demon, she just hangs out with them I guess? This leaves all the characters being one dimensional. There are so many better ways to write evil protagonists rather than the boring way this cartoon does. My next point is kind of a nitpick but this short is like Catching Up where it seems to heavily rely on famous voice actors. Like the cast of Digital Circus and Sr Pelo (him especially). That part where the sr pelo cop screams for half a minute kinda felt like the video is dangling keys in the viewer's face. The scene drags on for too long.

This show has so much potential but throughout watching this it just felt familiar. The animation style is so cute and i love it and i know it’s just the pilot but the jokes seem too similar to previous indie animations. I wish this was a little more thought out. Any person with animation ability and a dream could make something similar and have it gain some popularity but it would be better to stick out. Try to think of ways you could make this show more unique rather than trying to appeal to what usually gets popular! You already have traction and you’ve gotten some pretty cool voice actors so that step is done. Now it’s really just trying to make this show unique to you and hopefully people will enjoy it! Like i said i think it has so much potential i just feel like maybe it was released too early. I think it still needs work in fleshing out the characters relations to each other and really getting people hooked on the show i.e. giving them something they remember. It’s really not a bad concept and youre super talented just was hoping to give some advice. ❤

This pilot was honestly really fun to watch! Aside from my own few personal issues that I have with it, this is pretty solid for an indie animated pilot. I especially loved the character designs and the art style, and the voice acting, of course, was great! The character personalities are pretty well portrayed too. I can't wait for more of this, and I can't wait to see how this improves and gets better as it goes on!
