I love everything you make, and you have helped me get out of my comfort zone and create stuff without a pattern. And I appreciate your honesty and ability to laugh and fix the mistakes you make. One long video, not a bunch of “perfect” editing. And I wish more youtubers could see your camera placements that show details of what you are demonstrating. Here’s to you!!

I read through some of the comments because, When watching your demonstration, I was concerned about the strength of the screen. Thank you to all of your followers. If local JoAnn’s doesn’t carry it, you might try a hardware, pet store or feed store (eg tractor supply). Tim, Your demonstrations are phenomenal! Thank you!

As an Aussie I recognise that material! It's fly screen, only stronger so your cat could climb it and not ruin it. I just realised I have a roll of it cause we need to rescreen our front and back doors. Will certainly give this a go. Cheers

When I clicked on his link in the description for the pet mesh fabric it shows at Joann’s that they have two other kinds of mesh screening. One is for your screen doors and then they had another mesh utility fabric that was recommended for using in hat crowns, and as Ribbon backing, etc. Probably need to compare the different meshes. I’m assuming that the pet one is thicker and sturdier than the one for the screen doors and the utility. The pet one is probably the best choice for this beach bag.

I love this idea! This gives me an idea to create a shower bag for my children at college, but in a circle format. I also thought of a bigger bag for the side of the boat to carry inflatables and tubes while traveling. One side will have thin rope at the top to hold items inside for opening and closing with a toggle at the end. Then, the other side will have a handle for it to hang. Everything will be dried by the time you reach the dock. Stay crafty, Tim! ❤️🔥😎👍🏻

Pet screen us meant to reinforce window and door screens so pets can't tear it like regular screen. Sold in Walmart in auzws for windows and as big as patio doors. A fad several years ago, fabric and quilt shops carried it in colors. At least two patterns were sold at that time.

Hi, I made one with normal mesh and a ring on the top. Now I can put a lock on it, and leave it in my work-bathroom, filled with shampoo and soap etc. The bag was easy to make and I'm very happy with it. Thank you for this tutorial!

This is a terrific bag with a lot of uses, and. Tim, you are a superb instructor! I would flip the top back down, sew the straps with an “X” to the internal seam for extra security (especially if you are making them for kids). Flip the top back up and sew closed.

Those bags a beautiful, love the bright colors. Great fabric selection. Water repellent, ripstop material would be a good lining for the second bag. I like that the mesh would allow air to get to wet items to help dry them during transit.

Thanks Tim, love this! We used pet screen in Florida in our pool cage - it has a bit of give so when the dog or cat ran into it, they wouldn’t break through. This bag would be perfect for toting wet bathing suits home from the pool or beach 😊

I watched this video yesterday and being a shiny crafted person I dreamt about it. In my dream I changed the size and made it into an Easter rabbit. It hade tall ears by the handle and appliqued eyes, nose and mouth. It's strange how your video sparked my creative dream.

You said you used nylon pack cloth as a lining…is that also called rip stop, or are they totally different? I live in Florida, but do enjoy more of the activities there, so making different bags for different purposes is useful…and lets me make MORE things….love this idea, thank you for the inspiration and great detail shots and explanations.

Ripstop usually refers to a thinner fabric like a parachute type material. This is 420 denier nylon packcloth.

2 questions: If I make it smaller with. A 12 inch zipper, I will cut 12 inch fabric? Do you a tutorial on the one with the lining I’m still a beginner how would you do it with lining ? Love the results
