I agree on so many of these! About Gelatos -- I have a large set, and they are so pretty to look at, but I find that I'm not using them, either.

Very insightful video. Be sure to purge those products you didn’t get along well with. That way you can make room in your space for things you’ll absolutely enjoy and use.

"I'm just like a toddler", lol. I know exactly how you feel. I am trying to overcome my need to get as much of a thing as I can. Then I am overwhelmed. Now I am going through and getting rid of things. I am not even thinking about the wasted money. If it's not being used it has to go. I'm also trying to pay attention to what I am using the most often & what I get enjoyment using to get the look or result I want. You are absolutely right that you have to stop and ask yourself why you think you need something. But don't feel like you are alone in this. I'm sure there are people in the comments who will get personally offended by your opinion but oh, well. That's just the nature of the world today. Not everything works the same for everyone. Imagine that?!

Thanks for the support! I am reluctant to “destash” due to the super high inflation right now. I’m just a few years away from retirement (hopefully) and I will really need to “use what I have” when the cash flow changes. But I have been gifting items to new crafters if I definitely won’t use. TFW😃

Also, totally agree with you about the Xacto knife. The cap is not quite as frustrating because I keep it in the original case as the blade but I get so frustrated by the blade always falling out. If anyone knows of a better craft knife I would love to hear about it.

This is a very unique list. At first I thought you were kidding, but I realized you were serious. The Xyron Mega Runner is my absolute favorite tape dispenser. Love it. Gelatos are my favorite of the water soluble crayons. They are beautiful and so easy to use. I was very surprised to hear you say Gina K's amalgam ink gives a poor stamped image. Versafine black is a no go? Really? I am a huge fan of everything Arteza. I must admit that I was glued to my seat watching this. It just goes to show that not everything is for everybody.
@emptynestscrapper9613 жыл бұрын
You are 100% right! Not everything is for everyone! It made me smile to read what you said about the xyron because one of my crafty friends said exactly the same thing to me at a crop (before the pandemic). I handed her my mega runner, and she couldn't make it work either!!! I tried buying refills, but still no good! It worked great at first, but once I refilled it, it stunk! I'm glad you're having better luck with it! Regarding the Gelotos, I liked them at first too, but since I first got them I found items that do the same thing that I like better (Neocolor II, Stabilo Woodys, and Prima Oil Pastels). So although I like them, I like other products better and wouldn't buy them again. Last but not least the Versafie. Love the ink, but hate the packaging! Once I discovered the Versafine Clair (same ink in a better package) I replaced that pad, and I wouldn't buy another. Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed reading your comment. I hope you'll return. I love hearing opinions other than my own.😊..

@@emptynestscrapper961 On the Zyron, when it stops releasing the adhesive, you have to take your finger and move the adhesive roller forward. I wish I had a video to show you what I mean. You prime it with your finger to get it moving again. My guess is that might be what is happening. As for Claire, I have quite a few of those. I love them, too. Your video was fun to watch. Most KZbinrs wouldn't dare give a thumb down to any of the products that you did. Happy crafting.

I have used different sorts of liquid ink, with a dropper top (or a pipette) many many times. I wet watercolour paper and have taped on a board. I then drop ink, a drop or two at a time, and then move the board around and watch the ink mixing and merging to create amazing backgrounds. I am running out and would love a box like yours!! Do try. It is mesmerising.

When I first started cardmaking I bought that same Xyron tape runner. Like you, I would not buy it again! Don't like the adhesive, not as good as the Stampin Up adhesives. Furthermore, I can no longer get the refills even if I wanted to use it. I do live in Canada but I have also looked at US sites on the internet and very few people are carrying it. Seems a lot of people like the ATG but that is much too big and clunky for my hands.
@emptynestscrapper9613 жыл бұрын
I do like the ATG, even though it’s a bit awkward at first, I got used to it. Plus I can buy the refills at $2.00 each (for 100 feet) at Tape Jungle.
