Keep the yearbooks. I’m 63. A couple of years ago, with the help of my yearbooks we had a “girls reunion” of my elementary school friends. These things might not fit “KonMarie” but in my book, your history is important, when you get to be my age, you’ll be glad you kept them!!

Thank you so much, Pat! I am so happy with the space and so grateful for it. Before I had my space, I used a desk I bought at Target that had a little hutch on it. It helped to keep things organized. Yes. With some temporary shelves. I still can’t make up my mind if shelves will be better or cubes. I love the look of cubes but feel like they would be limiting. How do you like yours?
@AmigoGiftCo4 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you're working on your room :) I love the flexibility of the cubes, specifically how deep the cubes are. I bought the threshold cubes from target, so they fit up to 13x13, which is perfect for my scrapbook pages. I also bought some of the cube organizers to place a shelf or two in some of them. That helps make them more functional. I have also seen people buy organizers that fit inside the cubes, but I haven't done that. I mainly use magazine holders and the bins. I don't love the bins as much because I don't see everything, so I tend to forget about it. Plus it's hard to keep things organized in the bins. But for bulk items, it keeps them organized and out of the way.

Your video was in the recommended ones on the side of the screen. And it was quite enjoyable. I -LOVE- the Do It on a Dime channel! She's amazing and inspirational. And as for yearbooks, Hubby and I still have ours, and we graduated high school in '83, and college in '87. (Yup, we're old! LOL!) But I keep it in a tote in our storage room. They'd just take up space if I kept them out. They wouldn't get viewed enough to justify it. But I can't part with them either. Nice job with your room! It looked bigger when you got it all put back together. Altho, for the record, your room didn't look at that messy to me. We all have our own ideas about that. Thank you!

Hello. I have been hearing and learning about the KonMari organization. Even though it is a great idea - i would never get rid of my year books from my school days. To me, those are precious memories just like photos. Thank you for sharing your video. I just revamped my craft room / home office. I did a before video but after i had already moved one organization cubicle/cubby. I want to start my own KZbin channel. Any suggestions on how to get started?
@AmigoGiftCo5 жыл бұрын
I have to admit, I haven't yet moved onto the sentimental category of KonMari...and I may never get there! I am glad I have kept my yearbooks. I'd love to see your craft room and home office! Please let me know if you start a channel! I would love to support you! My suggestions would be to just start! What kind of channel do you want to start? I talked with my BFFs about my intentions and goals of the channel to bounce ideas around with them about the channel and what I should focus on. I was nervous at first and didn't want to tell my friends or family about it, but after I posted a couple of videos and received such kind messages from others, I felt more comfortable sharing my channel. I try to plan out my content, which helps to make sure I have an even distribution of topics. I just use my ipad or computer. Screencastify is a good app if you want to do tutorials and show the desktop. The toughest part for me has been planning time to edit. Recording is easier, but taking the time to edit has been the biggest hurdle for me. I have SO many videos to post, but need to edit them! So plan for that. I use my ipad and use iMovie to edit. I hope these suggestions helped! Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with :) Good luck on your channel and please keep me posted!

@@AmigoGiftCo - Thank you so much for the response and all the great suggestions. I'm somewhat crafty but my favorite at the moment is scrapbooking. I originally wanted to start a channel with scrapbook tutorials but after subscribing and watching tons of videos of my favorite channels, it feels intimidating as i feel i am not on the same level as most that i follow. However, i realized (yesterday), that i could probably do home diy's, scrapbooking, hauls for my vintage items that i sell on Etsy as well as have both of my sisters as a guest on a video once in a while. One of my sisters sews and makes lots of beautiful handmade quilts and just about anything that you can sew. She also has a pottery studio in her basement. She and i have an Etsy page where we sell vintage items. She also promotes her quilts and pottery on her own Etsy page separate from our joint page. My other sister does scrapbooking with me, but recently has been focusing on making cards which she sells at the car dealership that she works at. I was talking to the card maker this morning and told her of my idea and told her i wonder how you get people to subscribe. I wondered how do you start to get subscribers - did you start with your friends and family so that others will subscribe?

With the leaves out of the table and it turn cross-ways in the room maybe you will have a camera setup area on the floor stand adjustable at any height focused on any area in the room you like. All the feelings you talked about your yearbooks means you need to keep them. I understand that other crafters' ideas are good for them but you have to find what is good for YOU. Your room is you, great! VHH

I definitely kept the yearbooks :) I don't think I could ever get rid of them. I am happy with the new space and I was glad to help another family out by selling my table. They were grateful to have a table that would fit more of their family during the holidays. That made my heart feel so good :)

The decorative ones where you have 4 in one cube.

oh and keep those yearbooks!!! I am 54 and have pulled mine out 3 times in the last year lol. Once to help a friend with "do you remember so and so?" and twice to look up people related to people my daughter met ..."Mom, my friends dad graduated from your high school in 83, did you know him?"

I bought those at Hobby Lobby. They were on sale at the time for 50% off. They’re perfect for storing 12x12 scrapbook paper. I also use them to organize ribbon and jewelry supplies ☺️

Beautifully done!! I’ve done the same thing - gotta make things work for us!:) I know this is an older video but can you share where you got yr solid color fabric bins? I have four of the solid burnt rose/antique blush colored bins and I can’t find this color anywhere now!! Your bins look like they are very similar in color to mine. Thanks for sharing yr video!

Great process video on getting your room put together. Would love to see a more in detail video of how you organize your room. I still have my yearbooks even from elementary school, they just sit in a closet, but every now and then I like to look at them. my mom still has all her yearbooks, so I say keep them 😊 Tfs

Cleo Cat I bought the cubbies from Target. It’s the threshold brand. And the bins are from Target, too. I waited for a sale on the entire line and saved a bit that way 😊❤️

First time here. Did you find the remote? From what I could see you brought it closer to your monitor.
@AmigoGiftCo5 жыл бұрын
I did find my remote! Thank you for asking :) I placed it inside a metal organizer and it was the exact same height as my vinyl samples, so it was hidden. Thankfully I took the vinyl out to organize it and I found it! I was SO relieved to find it and now am constantly aware of where I place it!

Thanks, I should have watched to the end before asking. Target it is!
@AmigoGiftCo4 жыл бұрын
Yes! Target! These are the threshold line. They have a room essentials line which is smaller and not as sturdy. Threshold is more similar to the ones from ikea. The pink totes are actually part of the kids line, so I found them in the kids storage section. I liked the color better than what is in the regular line.

Fill up blank walls with storage so you can put away all those little items and create a ironing area and a cutting board area. Put that tv on the wall.

What is the cutting machine near the window and do you use it ?
@AmigoGiftCo5 жыл бұрын
That is actually a Heidi Swapp Minc Machine. It's sort of like a laminator, but it is so much better. It has a really even heating element, so I have used it to laminate items, but it's made to be used to add foil to paper. Here is a great video showing how to use the minc machine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHScioSwoJ1lodU

How did you do your vinyl that is what I have the most trouble with I have some rolled and some that are flat! Do I roll all of them? I htv and reg 651/631
@AmigoGiftCo4 жыл бұрын
Great question! Most of my vinyl already comes rolled, so I keep them rolled in the same way I received them. I buy most of my vinyl from a local art store and they told me that all vinyl is rolled a specific way, so keep it rolled so it stays intact with the carrier paper. Their vinyl is 12x15, so they want to make sure we don't accidentally mess our vinyl up. They use rubberbands to hold the rolls together, so that's what I do. Or I used some washi tape to keep it rolled. The only vinyl I've purchased that is flat is 12x12 from the target dollar spot to try out, so I keep that flat.

Connie's Creations Hi! I got the graduation Stitch at Disney. They sold him on shopDisney for a while and then it wasn’t available at all. But when we were planning our trip to celebrate my husband’s 40th, my graduation and our 10 year anniversary combined, we were looking into their celebration packages they offer. One of the packages included a basket full of treats, a monogrammed graduation set of ears, and the Stitch graduation doll.
