That is quite a transformation! I’ve had the same system (Elfa) in my craft room for 10 years, and it still works great! I would recommend considering removing the drawer stoppers for the bottom drawers. That way you can pull them all the way out and vacuum under them. It gets dusty under there!

Wow Corie what an amazing space. I am so envious, I live in a small cottage and my craft supplies end up stashed everywhere` hence I have so many duplicate, when I can't find something and have to buy more. I think it is all my favourite LOL, but if I had to pick out something It would be the island, I craft on my kitchen worktop so would be in heaven with something like this. Girl this is one of the most 'extreme makeovers' in the crafting world! From broken chaos to smooth simple storage in a matter of minutes! I'd never heard of the Elfa modular system before {gasp!} but now you got me hooked! It's certainly pricey but looks like a permanent fix for the endless 'categories' of supplies that keep finding their way to my house... Love that you shot this one-handed so you could demonstrate how easy those drawers open even when they're full of heavy stuff like paint and tools. Kudos to you & your family and may you have many years of enjoyment from this beautiful space.

This is quite a sensational makeover…especially your island; your husband is clearly a very supportive and helpful person. As a very amateur crafter, I had fallen into a smaller version of the same problem….non stop crafts supplies coming in that kept mounting and not getting used. I finally saw things differently and decided that I should be running out of things and not accumulating more and more need for storage solutions. So it’s no more buying, but ramping things up on the crafting side to reduce my need for ever more storage space. This is how retailers do it to save money. Less product=less storage space. This revelation struck me hard, as while surfing for crafting ideas, I now notice that craft room make overs are trending more than the actual crafting itself. One viewer commented that even if she completed a project every day for the rest of her life, she would need another life time to use up her stash and actually had to buy a bigger house to accommodate it all. As much as I admire your set-up, I have to wonder which is more relevant; crafting or storing as much stash as you can. One thing I know for sure is that the craft stash and storage making industry are busier counting their profits than they are making product. Just an observation that I wanted to share. May you find the creativity and the success you dream of in this new lovely space. It is to date one of the nicest setups I have seen.

Thank you! It's funny you say that, because since the makeover, I've done fewer "hauls" and I've been trying to craft my stash. My challenge now is that I have craft projects everywhere and no place to put them! Time for another makeover video - clean-out edition! 😂😂😂

New to your channel and just finished re-organising my craft area so was popping by for any further tips. I noticed this is a year old so I hope all your hard work paid off. I absolutley love your amazing space and room. I was in the same boat as you, in that everything was i such a jumble I didn't have room or the inclination to do any crafts. I bought a new bigger and better unit to replace a 'make do' book shelf and the difference was amazing. I am tweaking and fussing over it alll now and cannot wait to get back to my crafts. I only have half a fairly small area in our study room but it is my She Cave and I love it! I shall be taking a good look at your other playlists and get to know you and your crafts. Thank you for some great ideas already just by watching this makeover and I look forward to getting even more ideas from you.

That's a lot of bling for someone who doesn't use any bling 😆. I love the container store and have their Elfa cabinet shelves also. I chose mine to each have caster wheels so I can push them together to create a larger table space anywhere in my room. I have a 72-inch uplift desk that they go under when I'm not crafting. The container store is my vice. Great video!

OMG...I'm so jealous! I've been crafting in my dining room for the past few years and it's such a mess. We have one spare bedroom that is full of packed boxes as we are going to be moving to the other side of the country when my husband finally retires. I opened an Etsy shop last year though and REALLY need a proper space so we've started moving me upstairs to the spare bedroom. I don't want to put in anything permanent since we will be moving so your set up is perfect since it's all movable! So glad I ran across your video tonight. I’m new here..I saw u we’re doing a craft room and I need inspiration.i have a 12x28 she shed but I need to paint the floor,insulate and put up walls then paint them..I have the Michaels craft bins from yrs ago,but I need bigger bins I think cause I have soo much in containers and totes also.lsigh.lits overwhelming 🤣..my spare bedroom looks like your before right now..🤣Thank Jordon for his service..we r a military retired family…Army..we were in for 15 yrs when my husband had a parachute accident and they put him out..I’m a military Brat from the age of 2.my dad was in for 22 yrs..I hope Jordan makes a career of it..a lot of great perks and opportunity after he gets some rank on him..I know u r proud..what a blessing your craft room ended up being.I’d love to walk into such a beautiful organized space to get to play..congrats!..can’t wait to see what all u do now!

New subbie here. Thank you for sharing your craft room makeover. Most of the ones I see use Ikea, and the nearest Ikea is 4 hours 1 way. However, there's a Container Store only an hour away. I've been a fan of Elfa since they debuted in this country, and I still have and use my original Elfa units with the 1" square grid drawers. Those new drawers are nice! My favorite thing about your room is Elfa! Oh. To be so organized!

Beautiful and functional! At first, I was thinking, wholly moley, how in the world could you fill all of those drawers? Then, as you opened each one, I was like, yup, need a place for those, and those, and those... I love the drawers! If I ever get a large enough space, that’s the way I’m going to go! My favorite thing about your craft room. EVERYTHING!!! I love it all. I love you elfa drawers system, but way out of my budget. Don't know know if you have completed your calendar drawing, but I would love to be entered. I was undergoing a lot of health/ cancer issues at the end of last year, and forgot to buy one for the new year. Now my DT is all out, and that is where I always buy new calenders. Use the mason jar lids as a cross stitch frame. Cross stitch your design on cloth, center it in your lid, put some batting or a cardboard disc behind it and attach a hanger. You can use as a tree ornament or mini wall hanging.

Looking for our new forever home and this video will be the best thing for ideas for my Craft/business space 100% the best I have seen that will suit my needs for the proper storage I will need. Like you. I just do so many crafts and have so much stuff nothing seems to work for me at all when organizing so I can see everything properly to use it but these pull outs will be purrrfect and much more perfect than anything I had in mind before! Started out buying Ikea wide drawers but couldn't get my hands on more so now I am glad to have found a better solution =) Amazing job on your space! Ohmagosh Corie! I really appreciate your multi craft space. Part of my problem is that I have so many crafty ideas, where to store it all. I think my fav though is the many carts you have to pull up to your work area. My room is pretty close to your before pics. However, my craft area is the first thing you see when you come in the front door.

Three of us are in a 2BR apartment. I have a plastic shoebox for each craft. The shoeboxes all fit on a bookcase, except the big wrapping paper and scrapbook papers which are under my bed. My supplies were mostly given to me or bought second-hand. Your set-up is a dream. Tina, Al's wife
