You have an absolutely organized studio. You think like I do in my organization. I like using quality materials for organizing and for making a lot of paper crafting, but also use oil, acrylic and learning watercolor my art. My room needs some personality though, but I’m working on it. I do crocheting as well as coloring. That’s a lot of hobbies to put in an 11x 13 room! All of that isn’t so bad until I start decorating the house for a holiday. Then it’s crazy time. My husband said he would give me $100 to stop bringing silk flowers into our home. I should have taken it. Lol

I love your space!!! You did a beautiful job rearranging and organizing your stash. I love KonMari and like how you had your "JOY" items displayed. Your rainbow button jar has me wishing I had kept my stash of buttons and did that, it is beautiful. I also really like your idea of taking apart the black hardware bin and using just the drawer parts to sort your stuff in your craft table. I had to watch it twice to figure it out. Your space is perfect! Any bigger and a person risks having so much stuff their brain gets swamped with ideas and nothing gets made. Another crafter mentioned this happening to her. As long as you make your space your own, as you did, it is the perfect size!!thanks so much!!

Thank you, Stacey! Yes, I completely forgot to mention that I took that hardware bin apart & used the little drawers as dividers for little items. Good eye! I used to be in a larger room in our home, and it was just too big. This one seems to be just right for my needs. 🙂 Have a great day!

Oh Cindy, I am so jealous! I have been looking at so many "craft room tour" videos since January as I have recently reclaimed one of the bedrooms in the house as my craft room. I am using crutches at the moment to get around with so I feel I have a bit more of a challenge when trying to figure out how to set up my room and what cupboards, shelving, etc, to use, to set up my room. That and I am unemployed right now, so the less money I use to set up my room, but that it still looks swish, the more I have left over to buy goodies :-) I love the little table and chairs you have for your granddaughter! So cute! Thank you for doing this video. I have seen a lot of rooms, which are to die for, but are nothing like mine *chuckles* But your room has given me some good ideas that suit my needs and wants the best. I wish I could clone your room and transport it to Australia! Thanks again Cindy :-)

When we downsizedfrom 2200 sq ft to 1500 I had to do some very serious downsizing in 2016. Going through stacks of paper I found some from the 1990s when I was a Creative Memories consultanf! I also realized I wasn't using any of my papers & always went out to buy new papers for current project. Now I have a small collecyion of solid papers and a very small amount if patterned paoers and 4-5 oads if 12x12. I had lots of stamp sets,most of which I hadn't even opened from 19 years ago or so. I sorted through them and kept one or 2 sers for each season and some sentinent sets. I also got rid of nearly all my buttons. I had them in jars, plastic boxes, ckear zipper pouches (that I made). Now, if I need bottons I just buy what I need. I donated to a childcare center & azad senior day care center, both of which were very appreciative.

What are the drawer dividers made of? Where did you get them? They make your drawers so neat and organized! 😎

Most of those little drawer dividers came from the black hardware bin I had sitting on the counter (you can see it in my before video). I just tossed the black piece & used the drawers. I'm on a mission to not only declutter & organize, but also to spend as little $$ in the process as I can. It's so easy to buy a bunch of organizing bins, boxes, etc; but I really wanted to use what I already had kicking around. This is one of the best room transformations I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous bright, clean space! I moved over a year ago from a room I had for 10 years into one that is 3 times bigger, and had fun getting it all settled in, and now I’m in the “organize drawers and pretty it up” phase. Got some good ideas for a few areas from this. (I’m a scrapbooked not card maker, so adapting). I am curious, you seemed to have gotten rid of a ton of stuff. Did you straight up chuck it/donate it, or did you store in deep storage somewhere? Again, lovely room!!!
@jccrew25 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I did get rid of a ton of stuff! I went into full-on "does this bring me joy" mode, and got rid of anything I couldn't answer with a "yes".
