I love watching other peoples organizations! This room is about the size of my room. You have a lot more paper products then I do, but I also have machines, an embroidery machine ( I machine embroidery a lot of my cards), a surger plus, my computer , Brother scan & Cut, printer, TV. Because this space also serves as my home office. Instead of one dog, I have two one who insist on laying in a bed on the desk part while I work the other one will lay in a bed on the floor next to my feet . I’m getting ready to pull everything out so I can put some hanging shelves and redo my desk so it’s a double-decker so I can lay my big big art paper on the lower level of the desk (tired of it, laying on the floor under the printer stand ). Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed your video.

I'm thinking of getting a rolling cart like yours to store my gelli printing stuff. Do you think the drawers would manage the weight of paints if full? I had some of the trolleys like your coloured drawer ones but the drawers drove me nuts when they got too heavy they would drop down or come unstuck so I kept the trays which I now use on a shelf (ditched the trolley but kept the top metal shelf as a magnet board). The rolling cart looks more robust but you only have lightweight things in there. ta

What you need for a clogged spray bottle is a mouth atomizer. It’s the best thing I ever bought for such a small price. If you use spray inks a lot and the nozzles get clogged, just remove the spray nozzle from the bottle and plunk down the mouth atomizer and blow. The thing works like magic.

Hello! My name is Missy(using honeys email)& I just got through watching your craft room tour! And I seen your stamp catalog! I do something similar to yours however, I can not figure how to put them in categories! I catalog them but their in alpha order. Could u please tell me the categories u put all of yours in? I have a huge collection of Stampin Up( I am a demo) & tend to forget what I have. I feel if I find categories to put them in that would help me lol. I get overwhelmed at times on how or where to put them especially when the sets have multiple categories in the set & with sentiments in it too lol. Any help would be appreciated! Love Love Love your video! Thank you for sharing!
@devonrex42 жыл бұрын
I only do these basic categories: textures/background, borders/flourishes, postal, tags/labels, alphabet/numbers, months/dates, sentiments/words (for those that are mostly text and almost no images),Elegant images (more realistic images with a few sentiments), Whimsical images (more “cartoony/cute” styles with a few sentiments), Christmas, Embossing folders (just small sample of each), Die cuts (I tend to just photocopy and indicate it it has a co-ordinating stamp or embossing folder and write the name of that). I also put a blue dot on stamp sample if it has a coordinating die cut and I write the name of the die cut. My Stampin up stamp sets themselves are stored in alphabetical order, however I have a separate section for alphabet/numbers/dates and a separate section for background and texture stamps. I hope this helps. You probably have a lot more so you could also sub categorize your image stamps into themes like: floral, nature, animals, sea, home, feminine, masculine, other…. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching Missy 😄

Great organizing! Whut comes first: rich husband or job, then buy the supplies. Or buy the supplies & sell projects to pay for inventory. How to afford this ????
@devonrex42 жыл бұрын
Accumulation over the years for some of it (for example I started scrapbooking almost 25 years ago and many of those supplies can be used in mixed media), adding new supplies after researching prices (and checking if I have something that does the same thing), avoiding full set syndrome (just buying a few colors to test out if I like it before buying more or just getting a few sheets instead of a full paper line), getting items on sale and/or using coupons, checking dollar stores and thrift stores, trading with friends (“happy mail”), checking garage sales, and saving up for big ticket items. Also I try not to get all the newest products as they come out (often things sit in my wishlist for a long time and then I may decide I don’t want it anymore). Sometimes I may spend more than I should on craft supplies (but never more than I can afford) however I have definitely slowed down my accumulation phase and am trying to focus on the use it phase as my room is pretty much maxed out as you can see. Also keeping it organized helps me to avoid wasting money on duplicates (but that does still happen sometimes). Mixed media is a bit tricky because the possibilities for supplies can be overwhelming so you could opt stick to a narrower category like watercolour, sketching or coloring books to narrow down what you “need” and slowly build up your stash over time. Also, you can turn magazines that you may already have into glue books or start a junk journal both of which are very inexpensive ways to express your creativity. I hope this helps give you some ideas. Thanks for watching
