CRAFT SPARTAN RD PRO REVIEW | BYE BYE GORETEX

ALTRAs are not the only trail runners out there, today I review the SPARTAN RD PRO by Craft and see how they perform. During the review of the Spartan RD Pro i go through the basics and how they performed for me on my first 10 km walk on mud, snow, ice and slippery rocks.
Before I did the review I did a 10 km walk to find out how they perform on different surfaces like snow, ice, mud and slippery rocks and roots and I am very impressed so far. i think, if not looking for shoes with very thick soles and maximum cushioning that this is a very good alternative.
Features like a cage round the foot for added stability, rubberized protection around the toe area, EVA mid sole and drainage holes and a very grippy sole...do I need to say more!?

thank you for this introduction video. And i hope you have a lot off hiking miles/km with your new Spartan RD. I use for 1 year Atra lone peak and before i use Meindl and salomon. But the Altra's are a relief.

Yea Altras I have heard are great, some say don’t last very long though so wanted to try something new. I hope and think this shoe can be a real winner... it let’s see, it’s not until some km you actually know!

Hi Robert. I heard from others that you have to take 1/2 size smaller than your standard (especially for the newer craft OCR ctm speed the successor of this shoe). How did you find the sizing;

Well as any shoe for long distance running or hiking I prefer to go half a size up and I did the same for this shoe and worked just great. Those are a bit to narrow for my feet so I have actually now changed to Altra Timps and no Olympus. But for OCR well, these have great features that the Altras does not.
