The lilac yarn, in many countries of this world small skeins are normal. In Europe you mostly have 50gramm skeins, about 1.77 ounzes. Those big skeins you have in the us are very uncommon. (So we learn to tie the tiniest knots when learning to knit or crochet, your big skeins are so much more practical!) The yellow yarn, it looked nice but just a short row is a bit of a short to review it, at least in my opinion. And the tunesian hooks, you are aware that the form of the (non existent) hook is clearly seen in the product picture you show on screen? It feels like you did not really read the descriptions or looked at the product pictures before ordering. I mean yeah, you can totally do what you want, but ordering without really looking at the product and then pointing out the totally obvious seems weird. And unnecessary because it will pile up waste that would be easily avoidable.

Nothing goes to waste on my channel 🥰 all items are donated or offered to my followers and giveaways♥️. The reason I do these reviews are for my followers to see all the crochet gadgets on the market not only for my own personal use. I'm so sorry you did not like my video. But there's still time for you to join in my latest Bday giveaway from one of my hauls kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y16vhquHe5ytebs

@@LittlejohnsYarn But why give away useless hooks? Or any of the items rated 1 ball of yarn or less? They are not what they should be, thats why you rated them low, right? The idea behind your videos is great! Dont get me wrong, i like that! But still, ordering things that are clearly useless makes me wonder if you even looked at them closely befor ordering. (But hey, as you said: Colourful! Sometimes pretty colourful things just hop into my shopping cart themselves xD ) But the idea of giving away useless things is really something i can not understand. (And i need that T-Shirt. It is so cool, everytime you wear it i want it. Well, christmas is coming.)

@@VioletPapillon I read and reply to all messages. People always ask "what are you going to do with the 0 ratings? Please don't throw them away, I can use them". That's why I have giveaways. I listen to what my audience wants I get a lot of request to purchase certain items. Plus a haul review wouldn't be fun if everything had 5 balls of yarn, lol. 🥰 I'm glad you like the t-shirts...my family thinks they are crazy, lol

@Littlejohn's Yarn AMEN & I absolutely love your purchases & your reviews on everything you get 😊💝! Love the T-SHIRT Yarn 💝! It definitely looks beautiful crocheted & I am like you! The thicker makes my fingers so sore & I also think the Tunisian Crochet might be great for someone who learns how to use them. I love the scissors 💝!!! My Mama had a gold pair & the handles did have some kind of bird with feathers that were all embedded onto them 😊💝! I had completely forgotten about them until you mentioned them & now it's making me crazy trying to figure out what kind of bird & feathers it was, lol 😂😂😂! And I agree! Nothing goes to waste. So many of us Crocheter's loves the same stuff & others like completely different items. Most of us just pass things around until the item finds a forever home by someone who absolutely loves it 💝! Keep up the great job you are doing & don't even try to respond to those negative people! They all want everything for free, nothing...but they only want the BEST! SMH 😊!God Bless you sweet girl 🙏✝💝! Have an awesome week 😊💝😘!!!

@@bethtisdalestaton7250 thank you so much Beth🥰 you are too kind♥️. The bird on the scissors is a stork with feathers etched into it. I had a gold pair too. I love the "milk cotton" Wish yarn too, but after seeing real milk cotton, it's not milk cotton. Whatever it really is, it's super easy to work with. I'd even go so far as to say it's the easiest yarn I've ever worked with. Great for beginners. And it's certainly soft.

I love all the responses 😂 you are so right the yarn in the u.s. is humongous. My favorite yarn is from Lion Brand it's called Pound of Love. 455 grams of yarn. I have a question for all of you 🙂 do you have BIG craft stores where located?

Thank you. Your Grandma would be so happy you have something to remember her. They don’t care about to physical stuff (I’ve lost things they cherished too). They care about the memories. And you are sharing her love of crochet with the world, spreading more joy of the craft. She’s with you every stitch you take. We in the US are spoiled. The rest of the world has 50-100gm balls. 50gm is the size of a sugar & cream, very small. Wish def uses the wrong pic, & info (don’t know how they can say ‘cotton’ when it’s acrylic in desc). Great to see other yarns and tools though. Thanks for being the guinea pig. Being on disability, it’s great to learn & see these vids. Have a great day.

Littlejohn's Yarn - Not only teaching, but sharing what is clearly a passion of yours. Anyone can teach, but when they love the topic it shows. It becomes infectious & then the students share their newfound passion, and it creates a beautiful wave of joy circling the world & back. I know you’re Grandmother is exceedingly proud of you. Sharing a gift that is creative, productive, interesting & even therapeutic, really helps people. You also share related info to help others find tools that may help them, or ways for them to save money. I am grateful for all of it. Thank you. Have a blessed week ahead.

I made a granny square of each color and then did one round in black and then joined and bordered the entire blanket in black. I turned out very pretty like stained glass. I've bought a lot of yarn from Wish and at first I wasn't very happy with them. I always loved the yarn though. I just had to realize that MOST of the yarn they sell is in 50 gram weight skeins. They also recommend a size 3mm knitting needle and 2.5-3mm common crochet hook although I use a G or H and it works quite nicely. In comparison Red Heart Super Saver variegated yarn is 141 grams so you would need 3 of the Milk Cotton skeins to equal one red heart.

I have those Tunisian hooks and I like them, the yarn sits quite well in my opinion... but being plastic it makes squeaky sounds with the yarn while working with it. The size of the lilac skein is actually quite a common size where I am from. Your American sizes (or brands in general) are hard to come by!

Thank you for this review. My sister already told me wish is “one of those sites” what she means is the looks/pics can be very deceiving. I have ordered a wig from here and it was great I give it 4/5 yarn balls because it said it was 180 density but It was actually 150 density. This changes price factor but luckily it was already a decent price. Thanks I will use yarn balls for all my reviews lol

If the afghan hooks (Tunisian) were wood or bamboo, I'd suggest using a file to enlarge the throat but not plastic. Also having had similar in circular knitting needles, I offer that the plastic cord will eventually break away from the end of the hook and be useless.

Oh my goodness, I'm so excited to have come across your channel!!! I've been an avid crocheter since I was about 4 years old, maybe 3. My mom taught me to crochet as soon as I could hold the hook. That's been a LOT of years ago. I haven't crocheted in the last few years due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, but I'm very anxious to get back into it. I have a one year old granddaughter that I haven't made an afghan for and it breaks my heart. I made her brother one so I want to try to get hers done before Christmas. I've wondered about Wish supplies but never thought to look on KZbin for reviews!! Thank you so much!

@Ali P, i'm so sorry you can't crochet like your used to. Have you ever thought about using a circular knitting machine? Its like a regular peg loom but on speed, lol. All you have to do is crank the handle and it creates knitted panels and tubes. They range from $15-$215 depending on the brand you purchase. I have video you can check out that talks about them kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKuknqR3Z7uDrJI

The double sided hooks are in UK 🇬🇧 for example: like in H/8 thats a 5mm, and for 4mm its G/6 thats the six because I had one like that.

Maybe you can fix the Tunisian "shelves" with a triangle file and make a deeper hook.. Those are sold at the hardware store. They do look cool though.

Good morning. I love your review, its so honest. I have the crane scissors. I bought them from wish like 3 or 4 years ago. I love them, they're still sharp. I also have the double ended crochet hooks. I never used them becuse I wasnt sure of the measurements either.🤷🏾‍♀️ I was just looking at that milk cotton yarn this morning so your review was right on time. Lastly that pic of you from 88' 🤣🤣 why do I have a pic from the same year with the same hair style🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would love to show it to you.

I'm just now learning that most yarns in the UK or much smaller. Is that true? US has huge yarns. My favorite is Pound of Love and Caron one pound. 455 grams of yarn🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

@@LittlejohnsYarn the average size is for double knit in the U.K 100grams,roughly 270 yards,, In the U.S I think this would be classed as light worsted weight . We do have larger sizes .but these tend to be in the chunkier yarns. It also seems that you have many more places to buy yarn ,than we do in the U.K. I tend to buy a lot on line. Love watching your channel you explain everything really well, You always sound really happy.:-) :-) xx

Thanks. I was just about to order that tunisian set. It's out of my cart. The milk cotton is very nice. But I absolutely agree, too small. I bought 6 skeins to make a large scarf and hat. I ended up with a small scarf/large cowl type thing.

Milk Cotton I think is the brand. I got some to make baby hats for the hospital. It is so soft. I actually love their small skeins they are easy to travel with. DO NOT I say DO NOT get the bamboo crochet hooks. I went to use them when I got them and well they suck. Love the knitting needles though.

I have a pair of crane scissors,I’ve had for over 25 yrs .. my ex husband bought them for me when I was doing cross-stitch, they are gold in colour too .. I don’t use them now ,I do have the kept safe .. I also have the Tunisian afghan crochet hooks ,mine are made from bamboo and they do have a hook bit on them .. I got them a couple of years ago and only used one of the hooks to make a blanket for one of our dogs .. .. I bought them on eBay pretty cheap , I’ve found that eBay here in the UK is cheaper to buy items most often than amazon is .. xx
