I’ve ordered hundreds of things off of Wish without issue, and the best advice I can give is to read the descriptions (instead of going by the pictures or title). The pictures are indicative, but the description has to be explicit. That’s where it’ll say whether you’re getting a part vs. a kit, dimensions etc.

I crocheted a little roll-up holder for mine. Its so simple! I just crocheted a rectangle, and crocheted a row in the middle for some loops to put my hooks through. I chained some strings to then tie it together. It works just fine, and I love it! Of course, I only have 10-15 hooks, so I don't really have much to hold. I hope you like my idea! :)

For home, I was originally using an empty Pirouline container which I covered with Washi tape. I took an old candle jar, cleaned it out, tied a ribbon around it and use it for pens and markers. A large, empty, decorated cheeseball container became cute storage for small leftover balls of yarn.

I'm a native NYer and am always on the go on public transportation. I needed a bag for when I'm standing up in a packed subway car and still want to be able to reach my skein at any time. I bought my first arm bag and it was the best decision ever! If you knit/crochet on the go as I do, a bag like this is great. Also, a Japanese knot bag for transitioning onto your shoulder when you do have to stop and begin moving again may prove useful to other mobile crafters as well.

I use a cotton market bag, like you would use for grocery shopping. My yarn, hook, pattern copy if I'm using one and project all fit inside. Then I can pull out my project anywhere and crochet. I keep it in there at home, as well. Everything together so nothing gets lost.

I ordered the light up crochet hooks - and it did come with all of the hooks in a pink case. Though, it wasn't that long ago - I can't remember if I got it from Amazon or Wish - since I was doing a lot of comparative shopping between the two. And, I must say - I love'em mainly the handle and when I traveled with them it came in handy to not have to take a full set of individual hooks when these were already "kit'ed" up and ready to go not to mention - theft proof. Too many people would steal them for their hair🤬.

I have had that same I-cord maker for about 9 yrs, and it works beautifully. Has made nice I-cord. True that it does not work with heavier yarn, however, I can make I-cord using heavier yarn on my flatbed knitting machine. I could not but laugh when I saw that skein of yarn that did not look anything like the picture. Never heard of Wish. Thanks for your review.

@@LittlejohnsYarn : Each type of machine has its purpose. I use my Addis for making stuffed animals, hats, standard winter scarves, etc, however, I use my flatbeds for everything else. There is a learning curve, but with you talent and creativity, I believe you would do well.

Thank you for your review. I have never ordered craft supplies from wish. But I have ordered other things. I've been pretty happy with everything that I ordered. One thing though; it is quite possible to crochet in the dark. As a legally blind person I crochet without seeing my work all the time. I know a number of sighted people who crochet without looking at their work while they're watching TV. So just thought I'd let you know it's okay to crochet in the dark, one just needs to use slightly different techniques. Actually being able to crochet in the dark was a lifesaver after Hurricane Michael, I had stuff I could do when most of my friends didn't. Thanks again for your reviews I love watching your Channel.

If you like Susan Bates, you should try Hobium's La Mia Rose Wood hooks. They are an in-line hook with a pointy head. I've tried both and am really loving the wooden hooks!

Awesome video! I was going to buy that roving yarn, you saved me from being ripped off. I have one of the lighted crochet hooks, it works sorta OK if you are using a dark color yarn but the yarn doesn't slide over the hook as easily as it does on an aluminum hook.

“You’re not supposed to crochet In the dark”... you are if you own a head torch! I regularly crochet in the dark with only the red light setting on. I get migraines often, and even when I don’t have one I’m pretty light sensitive at times so the red light means I can crochet in pitch black. Which is useful if you’re sharing a bedroom and you just *have* to crochet in t middle of the night 😂

My husband bought me the whole set of the lighted crochet hooks as a gift and I won't tell him that he wasted his money, because it would hurt his feelings. You constantly fight to make your stitches due to the hooks not having a tip to hook the yarn. I will get them out when he's around but that's the only time. LoL

Thanks, I got some great ideas from this video even though I don't crochet...yet! I loom knit. I also bead and do other crafts and I've gotten several good supplies from Wish, but, yes you have to be careful. I got a great deal on a 1920's beaded dress and some 1940's style swing-dance dresses...just have to remember to order 2 sizes bigger than you need. Anyway, I sew and I plan on making some of those "walking crochet bags"...all I need is a tote bag pattern and add some grommet holes and a pocket. I love your personality and look forward to looking at more videos from you.

Just so you know, amazon has that light up crochet hook kit and I have it, and love it! I was given one of those you received as a gift, but I wasn't happy with the batteries required... but the kit is rechargeable with the cable and the interchangeable heads. If you still wanted to try crocheting into the future, you can :) The quality of the hooks aren't as good as Susan's, but for what it is, I have to say I love it and thought I should comment!

OMG so funny! Ive done a little ordering on Wish but they do tend to take forever in the mail! Bought some baby yarn and it was soft but never did know what kind it was. I love wish. Never had a problem. You have to read the description and look at the reviews. Never look at their pictures but the review picture like any online shopping and yeah on the weight I could tell it was going to be small. I had to learn the hard way how weight with yarn worked 🤣

I've bought yarn from wish before. The yarn was fine far as quality but there wasn't any hardly any either lol. I learned my lesson. The yarn was fine but for the price to get enough to make anything much more than a hat or warmer imo- you're better off to just buy from your favorite place, plus there's no long wait for it to arrive. When you order from Wish always read the ratings & descriptions & use their size charts.

Dear, it's all "Spun" yarn, except for roving, which is unspun! I ordered a set of hooks & wool yarn from Wish. I've only ordered once. Won't waste the time or money on them again. Now worth the time or hassle.

I tried a few things from wish, but will never order anything else again. The postage on each item is usually equal to or greater than the merchandise, its usually 6-8 weeks before orders arrive, and its inferior merchandise from China. I ordered the light up set of interchangeable crochet hooks that you just shown, but I ordered it from Amazon cheap, free postage, and it arrived in 2 days. I love it!

Here’s a tip for using the cord maker, use silicone spray not oil on the hooks. That will help the latches open and close easier.

I’ve got a set of LED crochet hooks that use watch batteries. I like them pretty well BUT because of what they’re made out of the yarn sometimes doesn’t slide as nicely as I’d like. For a yarn on the go bag I ordered a brand called Pursetti off Amazon, I get tons of compliments on it and it’s always getting mistaken for a more expensive brand. Bonus (and why I bought it) is it also has a zippered top, keeping rain, dogs, and cats out of my yarn.

I’ve got THE BEST small crochet project bag!! It’s a small 31 tote that was originally made to carry bottles of wine. A skein of yarn (any size, I crammed a one pounder in it once) will fit in place of the “wine bottle.” I LOVE IT! I was just looking to see what the name of it was, but I think it was retired 😫 ask around with your 31 distributor. They might have one laying around, or know someone that does. The only problem using it is watching where I’m walking. 🤪

I have the light up hook. I got it at Hobby Lobby. It’s a game changer for sure! I have legit crocheted in the dark.

That is the proper size for a "craft iron" you can look them up! If you look it up it will tell you how hot it is supposed to heat up to. They are not supposed to heat up really hot and they are supposed to be that size.

Depending on how handy you are with a needle and fabric you could probably rip out that join in handle on the bag. That would give you the change to make the handle longer. It might lay better as a cross body bag.

I actually have the plug in light up hook set that I got from another place for the same price and it did have all the hooks plus came with a pouch with a tape measure, needles, stitche markers etc and it was only I THINK $15 and I LOVE it. The hook you have I had bought at Hobby Lobby for $5. 99 and it does work but you have to keep getting batteries for it.
