it’s literally just impossible for me to make bracelets and it’s so annoying, i can’t do a simple one without messing it up :(
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
ah ha You can also undo the knots with objects such as a sewing needle or safety pin. Bracelet making takes a lot of time and practice - don’t give up! You can do it!
@kerplunk25295 жыл бұрын
Craftanatic thank you! i will try to undo the knots, but i think its the beginning of the bracelets that mess me up
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
ah ha The beginning really can be one of the hardest parts; the strings can easily go out of place and it may not even be noticeable. Next time you start a new bracelet, just make sure you take it slow and be aware of what knots you are making and onto what strings, and as you keep practicing you will definitely get better. :)
@marysmith45605 жыл бұрын
ah ha this is late and you probably got better but, the start is always a struggle for me but i just don’t worry about it anymore and i know i can’t fix it so i only worry about the longer bits. just keep working on bracelets and do the easy candy stripe and chevron and make your way up to the harder ones!
@kerplunk25295 жыл бұрын
mary smith i’m still also trying to work on easier methods until i get comfortable with doing harder ones with multiple strands and colors. i used to be good but when i tried to make a bracelet again i just couldn’t do it. idk if it’s my thread i’m using🤷🏼♀️

When i make friendship bracelets, I always get holes in between knots. Does anybody have some advice for how to fix this?
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
Kitty Kat I don’t know your full situation, but it could be possible that there is an issue with your tension, i.e. you might not be making your knots tight enough or something else.
@nop-bt6hm5 жыл бұрын
First of all, Thanks so much for replying. I pull the knot as tight as it will go, but the bracelet never looks quite right.
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
Kitty Kat Bracelets surprisingly take a lot of practice to totally get down. Sometimes it also takes just being careful and sort of “manipulating” your strings as you make the knot so that you can put it in the exact place you want it (if that even makes sense haha).

I bought some Chinese nylon knotting cord and whilst it was nice, it had an inconsistent thickness. Some of strands were noticeably thicker than others which were all supposed to be same thickness. I paid AUD$12 for 10 small bobbins with 10yds on each. I'm not keen on some of the floss brands as the strands often split and tangle. Thanks for your vid. Very well explained. 😁😁

I chomp those suckers down so fast they always get hung up on things lol Anyhoo about this bracelet in particular- is there a way to do to is pattern without using one SUPER long string to weave back& forth the whooole way down?!
@Craftanatic3 жыл бұрын
Oh, thank you for the kind words haha! Gel polish really aids in keeping my nails long! Once they’re naked and I try and do something, they’ll start breaking right away. 😅 They’re usually pretty healthy but they’re also not the most strong. Otherwise they don’t really bother me at all while knotting. 🙂 I imagine you could bring in colors just like you would with normal alphas, but because of how the leading strings kinda hang out on the edges, it would be really tough to have a clean transition. You could possibly bring in a new color somewhere in the middle? Though, I’m not sure how that’d look. I haven’t really experimented much with this pattern!
