It has been a little over a year since this video has been uploaded and I am so shocked by how much attention and popularity this video continues to gain. Because of the similar comments I am still seeing that had been mentioned when it first came out as well, I am going to reiterate and add on to last year's community post: When I uploaded this video, I had NO idea it would be watched by so many knotters with different levels of experience. There were (and still are) a lot of people viewing who are very new to bracelets and I didn't originally expect that, so I didn’t slow down and didn’t explain things clear enough. It is worth mentioning that simple does not equate to beginner, though, and a lot of people have been getting that confused--I never said in the video that this was a beginner tutorial. But for those of you who are new to bracelets and were unable to understand what I was teaching, I sincerely apologize. Not every single video of mine will be beginner friendly, but I do take many comments I receive into consideration and I am ALWAYS trying to do better with teaching. I welcome constructive criticism (NOT *HATE*) and even encourage it, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my videos. Your feedback and input is super important because it helps me learn how to do better moving forward.

If you’re folding the strings in half then those numbers are doubled for each color but I know I didn’t explain that very well haha.
@thecrayolaeffect73 ай бұрын
@@Craftanatic Wait, 30-40 inches seems long, even for one color. Do you mean 30-40 cm?
@Craftanatic3 ай бұрын
I also think it’s too long, however I say 30-40” now (or 1 meter) because people have complained pretty frequently in the past that my recommendation (I personally measure closer to 32-34”) is not enough string. 🤷♀️ But now I try to be super mindful about stressing the importance of measuring out for what will work best for the length you want your bracelet to be.

Great video, easy to follow. Only thing I'd recommend, when tying the two strings together of the same color in the middle, be sure to do a forward-backward knot or a backward-forward knot, not a backward or forward knot. This is to make sure the bracelet doesn't go off to one side slightly.

Only started makes these kinds of bracelets a few weeks ago and I’ve made one twisted bracelet, four chevron bracelets, one alpha letter bracelet and working on this diamond one right as I’m commenting. I love your videos! I started making bracelets last week and this is my funkiest one so far. Thank you! My first row was definitely “wonky”, but because I didn’t do the loop, I was able to remove the first row when I finished the bracelet and reknot it.

Inverse chevrons are always going to start out super wonky. It’s always best to loosely knot at the start and make up the shape early to help it along as you knot. 🙂 Loops aren’t ever required but it seems to really be the norm nowadays haha. Thank you for watching!

hi i have a question! what way do i knot the middle string in the very beginning? (ex. is it left over right, or right lover left?)
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
Lindsay Richter Either way is fine since the strings are the same color!

how long should the strings be? I cut 65" of each color so then when I folded them they are now 33" each side, but I ran short and couldn't finish it. Anyone have a dimension they used ? Thank you!
@nahidaaleem82115 жыл бұрын
Can you make the same thing again but with a better explanation? Or maybe make another video showing only the loop at the top?
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
Nahida Aleem The link to the tutorial on how to make the loop is in my pinned comment.

I really love your tutorials! You actually go through the steps and the knots! Can you do a tutorial on how to do a wave design?
@Craftanatic5 жыл бұрын
Alynah T Do you have a specific pattern number in mind? I have a vertical wave video posted already, but there are a lot of different kinds of “wave” patterns out there!
@alynaht80965 жыл бұрын
@@Craftanatic I was talking about the wave pattern!

Since whenever u do a knot wether it be forward or backward u do it twice ,, the forward backward knot is when u do one forward knot and one backward knot instead of knotting twice forward or twice backwards
@Melissa-fd8qx5 жыл бұрын
To everyone saying this is confusing / she doesn’t show the knots / she didn’t finish it, I actually found it very clear if you know the basics of friendship bracelets. If you don’t, you should check out other videos or practice simpler ones before trying this so that you understand what she’s doing better :)
