It has been a little over a year since this video has been uploaded and I am so shocked by how much attention and popularity this video continues to gain. Because of the similar comments I am still seeing that had been mentioned when it first came out as well, I am going to reiterate and add on to last year's community post: When I uploaded this video, I had NO idea it would be watched by so many knotters with different levels of experience. There were (and still are) a lot of people viewing who are very new to bracelets and I didn't originally expect that, so I didn’t slow down and didn’t explain things clear enough. It is worth mentioning that simple does not equate to beginner, though, and a lot of people have been getting that confused--I never said in the video that this was a beginner tutorial. But for those of you who are new to bracelets and were unable to understand what I was teaching, I sincerely apologize. Not every single video of mine will be beginner friendly, but I do take many comments I receive into consideration and I am ALWAYS trying to do better with teaching. I welcome constructive criticism (NOT *HATE*) and even encourage it, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my videos. Your feedback and input is super important because it helps me learn how to do better moving forward.

@@Craftanatic Wait, 30-40 inches seems long, even for one color. Do you mean 30-40 cm?
@Craftanatic
@Craftanatic 3 ай бұрын
I also think it’s too long, however I say 30-40” now (or 1 meter) because people have complained pretty frequently in the past that my recommendation (I personally measure closer to 32-34”) is not enough string. 🤷‍♀️ But now I try to be super mindful about stressing the importance of measuring out for what will work best for the length you want your bracelet to be.

Great video, easy to follow. Only thing I'd recommend, when tying the two strings together of the same color in the middle, be sure to do a forward-backward knot or a backward-forward knot, not a backward or forward knot. This is to make sure the bracelet doesn't go off to one side slightly.

For anyone wondering how to do the loop she did: 1. Lay out you string with one longer piece all the way to the left 2. Start at the middle of your string and make forward backwards knots as far as you prefer 3. Use the longer string and only the longer string That's really it I guess. It's not that complicated

Was really wanting to do this and already crochet and knit. But at 16:01 all the thread appears assembled and a stitches at the top are not explained. :-( . Looked further and when wrapping the threads is very fast and is not explained, guess I won't be making a bracelet and they are so pretty. It is not "for a beginner" video.

I’m a beginner and I figured it out pretty quickly. First time ever making a diamond bracelet. Only started makes these kinds of bracelets a few weeks ago and I’ve made one twisted bracelet, four chevron bracelets, one alpha letter bracelet and working on this diamond one right as I’m commenting. I’m also a quick learner so perhaps it’s easier for me to catch on, but it’s always worth trying again :)

Fernanda Fdc You just repeat what we did in the beginning and keep doing that til your bracelet is as long as you want it to be! It helps to watch the video over a few times. :)

30”-40” for each individual string or double that measurement on one string for each color if you plan to fold them. Looking back at the video again I realize now that I wasn’t completely clear on that. 😖

Oh and thank you for keeping the camera so close. unlike some people who make friendship bracelets on here. they don't have the camera so close. So it's hard for me to see what they are doing. So thank you again.

@Craftanatic
@Craftanatic 2 жыл бұрын
Inverse chevrons are always going to start out super wonky. It’s always best to loosely knot at the start and make up the shape early to help it along as you knot. 🙂 Loops aren’t ever required but it seems to really be the norm nowadays haha. Thank you for watching!

To everyone saying this is confusing / she doesn’t show the knots / she didn’t finish it, I actually found it very clear if you know the basics of friendship bracelets. If you don’t, you should check out other videos or practice simpler ones before trying this so that you understand what she’s doing better :)
