All that matters is fit and function. How you get there does not matter. Aesthetics are all preference. Great looking set Tony👍

Very cool. Try using Resolene to set your dye color after dyeing. Simple to use, instructions on the side of the bottle. Its an acrylic coat for leather after you dye it, then, use your wax afterwards. Burnishing the sides of your sheath will give you that nice, deep color after you dye it. Use a hardwood burnishing tool, (or as I do), make your own out of a hardwood spoon. Just make your grooves in the handle. It will 'slick' your edges, and make them rounder. Nice job!

I have used Resolene. Works great. There’s a bottle up in my cabinet. I use a wooden shaft on my lathe to burnish. It’s fast and looks pretty fair.

Very nice Mr Tony! I agree with others, end result is what matters. I’ve made a few and I still learned something. I’ve used a skive to bevel the thickness but the belt grinder is genius!! I will be using that on my next build. Thanks

Thank you! Yes I cheat a little with the belt grinder. 😁😁

I use a 5/64 for sinew. If it were thread, I would go very small. The sinew is much thicker. 🙂

That table you're cutting on has seen some shit I bet. Very cool video, not something I'm doing but very interesting. If you achieve what you're attempting it's a success in my opinion. There's probably 40 ways to skin a cat, but let's not think about which one is correct. Thank you for your time sir....
