Creating a proposal to me have been a nightmare to me. I have been sending more than 20 proposals as a graphic designer in upwork but to no avail.. I pray I will be able to make it by watching this video of yours.. I'm a Graphic designer and Video editor

On Upwork is more of a response to the job offer rather than a proposal. I wouldn’t waste time on preparing proposals for clients that you haven’t even talked to. First, make sure your profile looks great. Second, respond to the job offer on Upwork. Third, only after you had an interview with your potential client you can send a proposal.

I think we should start charging first in hand before doing design proposal for someone, i think that how freelancer works, a freind of mine did one for a new client later the new client ignore him after receving the proposal, just wasted time

Yes agree - proposal is just a formality and I talk about that in my videos. Don’t waste time on creating proposals for everybody… only once you qualified the lead and there is a high chance they’ll actually hire you.

What is your plan for getting clients if you refuse to send them a proposal?

I mean most clients will want to eventually see some kind of a proposal because it acts as a contract. A written statement of what you’re going to do and for how much. Of course you can also sign a real contract. For smaller projects, you can just close clients over email or phone call and without a proposal - just get them to you 50% upfront. However its good to have some history of written communication - emails are fine.

A guideline is the final drlivery document that describes the brand. While proposal is just your quote for the branding work that needs to get done.
