By the time you get the currency to craft this bow spicysushi's guide is more than enough. For basic crafting I recommend Ziz, and anything build-specific is usually explained well by the build creator.

If you need off-colours, consider locking in 1 or two off colours with chrome bench, then use the socket bench to reroll the remaining colours. Very efficient on 4socket items, and can still be helpful on a 6socket item.

Third party tools aside it is very rewarding to learn. Hell, even the third party tools add a bit to that satisfaction. They’re tools you need to find and learn how to use. A real life crafter like a smith needs to learn the ins and outs of his anvil, when to use what side of his hammer, etc. A path of exile crafter needs to become intimately familliar with craft of exile. When to use the bench or horticrafting station. When to use a influenced base and when to slap on an influenced exalt. It would be nice if these tools were built into the game. Because while its currently working out with craft of exile, awakened POE trade, vorici’s calculator, etc: groups like TFT are quite problematic. And if these individuals ever lose interest or simply can’t maintain these tools anymore: we will have a massive problem. On the other hand: part of the reason crafting is so dammed profitable and satisfying are these barriers of entry. These difficulties. It makes me feel like i’m part of a more exclusive, more knowledgeable group.

I have tried this game 3 times, in 2013, then 2016 and then 2022. Each and every time my experience was: "Damn, I am a know-it-all mastermind in Diablo but a 3 week old baby in PoE" Maybe one day I will have the courage, guts and perseverance to master PoE as well :D

It is not easy but one you get over one plateau you just can't help but long to get over the rest of them. Choose a good 'league starter' type build and just take your time and enjoy it. So many streamers make it look like printing currency, but that is something for later. The most fun in the game is before that point IMNSHO.

I was somewhat interested in trying POE again after watching the beginner guide (excellent guide btw). After watching this, I'm not even slightly remotely interested anymore. Not a slight on the game though, I'm sure it's awesome for those who can deal with such bloat, complexity and unintuitive systems. Warframe has this same problem when you try and come back into it after a long period away, it's incredibly time consuming and complicated. I feel like developers could do a lot more to make games like these still be quite intuitive though, they just don't bother because I think they can't view the game from a beginners perspective.

i just started poe today, and after seeing stuff like this imma just play till i get stuck somewhere in the campaign and call it a day. Its nice for people who want to dedicate time to it, but for me its just too much of an effort. Hope POE2 is not as complicated.

You still can enjoy the campaign and early mapping / other league mechanics. Sure, you probably won't hit the biggest zoom zoom builds, but you can already have something that functions well enough for whatever point you stop the game at (for reference, I stopped at T9 maps, not because I couldn't go further, but because I'm getting a bit bored of the build I'm playing). Hopefully POE2 will be better for a wider audience. People who love POE1 will still have POE1, meanwhile POE2 is their chance at potentially getting more people in.

Craft of exile is your friend : P Also if you ever did have the patience a great way to practice a craft if you're nervous aside from craft of exile is simply go to Standard and burn some currency there if you are a league player. The tabs will be a nightmare but hypothetically you should have tons of leftover currency you can freely burn from previous leagues.

Next time roll the sockets and the color first. Use the alternation orb to take decrease requirements prefix by at least 20 percent. And then craft color of your socket. After u have done it you can do that you have showed in the viedo.

Any time it was easier to craft like original beast or harvest, it got patched out to make it harder again. Not really? this craft is really simple. Spam Essences til your prefixes are all ele dmg good tiers. Do prefixes cannot be changed craft, spam veiled chaos orbs til you hit attack speed, Craft crit chance. Done.

Be carefull with fusings, in Legion league when you could get even 48% quality it took me 7500 fusings to link my 48% quality two hander. Since then I'm always paying 1500 fusings at the bench :)

99% of players would need a spicysushi to help them craft in this game, problem is mistakes are so costly so you either have to know exactly what to do or follow a guide and hope they know, thankfully craftofexile exist too. I will say though I watch people like Ziz eye an item that I would probably toss but he knows x is guaranteed if he does x and turns junk into gold, it's experience I simply do not have enough though I've been playing as long as he has.

Try out PoE 1 to get a hang of all the systems. It's a deep learning curve but very rewarding if you understand things. And it will help you out in PoE2 since it will use most of the systems of PoE 1. Don't be afraid of the complexity :)

A lot of ez craftfing can be done with buying hard to roll fractured mod, and essence spam until you get a 3rd prefix/suffix whatever your fracture and essence are. and then prefix can not be changed. veiled chaos and then (craft anything to block what you dont want). unveil item, then craft what you want. it's essentially guaranteeing 5/6 mods. this works with every item.

GGG likes to let players find out info on their own, as well as suffer as much as possible. Convenience only comes from community tools. They don't even have an ingame skill tree calculator and a proper trade system. And you think they're going to make a bot for you.

Something that was recently introduced into the game, and without a doubt, extremely underused is the new support gem "Fresh meat" -- I feel it has some extreme potential and no one knows what to do with it. As a solid theory crafter, i would love to see what you come up with.

he's not a theorycrafter in poe, being a good theorycrafter in Diablo or other games can boost your attempts however not in this case, poe has so many interactions, the theorycrafter must know the skill treee, unique jewels to know how to abuse the tree, proper clusters their variants, items skill gem interactions. Right now whatever Raxx would make would be a worse version of something already made. Also our boy doesnt even know how unveiling works what do you expect of him?

you buy the bow base you spam whatever method you prefer , chaos or alc scour or whatever else creates rares until you hit bow 2 arrows - you annul down to rare with only 4 mods - since its mathematically a 1/4 chance you prepare 4 bows - you buy 4 fracturing orbs - u use them and maybe hit 1 maybe 2 or maybe you cry and go again.

@@washoywa What is wrong is the fact, that without external help you will never learn this tricks by yourself, since game will not help you to understand and make it. Would Rax do it without help of this guy? No. This is crucial for PoE2 - make the game not easier, but waaaaay more user friendly.

@@xUnfx skill/knowledge expression is what allows the PoE player base to stratify. It is what allows people to get an advantage over others. Yes, PoE is very packed with mechanics that require lots of studying and learning, but you are supposed to accumulate this knowledge over several leagues. It's supposed to be a feature, not a bug. Once you stack enough knowledge, you will be able to breeze through early content. Also, you only have to learn things once because it becomes very intuitive.
