Lore is so hugely important for games, in my opinion, and the Sorcerer Kings have such great lore. I love the juxtaposition of the approaches the founders of the Sorcerer Kings and the City States took in response to Hazlia's fall. Just wonderful!

I love that the different factions are, for the most part, so different from other fantasy settings. Obviously theirs still Humans and Dwarves, but the others all feel quite unique. Looking forward to see what the future holds for this system.

Interesting that both regarding design and lore they don't limit themselves but allow it to be an evolutive process, which is good since it allows for different type of units to always be showing up (I play mainly ASOIAF and it feels too limited). I welcome recommendations between Conquest, AoS Spearhead or Warcrow... I'm still undecided.

I think I should revisit the Conquest lore--I have vague memories of them using references to the Four Horsemen for multiple factions in inconsistent way, which didn't pique my interest at the time but maybe I was off base.
