Glad you enjoyed it, no need for tanking the ceiling, it is all done with waterproof plasterboard, the tanking is just a double protector on the areas where water will hit or sit 👍😁

I started on August 10, 2024 watching your video’s from the very beginning! I’m currently on week 9 of the 2nd year and I’m watching 2 to 4 video’s a day! When you use that wood burning technique on wood for finish, does it help protect wood from wood worms? Or, do you still need to use wood worm protection treatment afterward. Great photography techniques this week on washroom and in workshop. Wonderful work on projects and documentation.

I'm not really sure, but I have seen people in Scandinavia burn posts before putting them in the ground so it must protect against rot

A four poster with finials and a short head rest would be enough not every room needs a crown covering. You could then use a tapestry on the wall behind it and would look fine even with an uneven ceiling. What if you did a cross pattern in the shower area as a nod to symbol in your garden area? would look cool I think a stripe down the centre and in the middle across in the shower is an idea ;)

Not really sure, I made Lesa a picture frame a long time ago and hand carved the wood to create the textures. I think it just appeared in my head one day 💡😂

you are both working fantastic with your creativity, love it I'm excited, at seeing the completed room. and for you too, as you can get more money coming in to do more amazing projects for us to see. its a Win/Win and congrats on the fab editing to bring us these enjoyable videos. I think its great, learning new crafts, it's built with your blood, sweat and tears! love the creativity you both have. I enjoy watching your videos. I've made my own wood stain, from Teds wire wool and vinegar idea and going to strip my skirting boards back to wood and use that stain on them.

@@ChateauDeMontmagner its a 25+ year old house, so assuming light oak, i havent started the project yet. I bought the top and bottom drawer part of an old oak antique wardrobe and turned it into a multi use coffee table, I put old levers (from another modern table that fell apart) so the top part lifts up into a dinner table. The back edge of the top of the wardrobe didn't have any wood, so used an bit of pine for it. That's when I made the stain and left it for a few weeks to fement, put 3 coats on the pine and then yacht glossed it over, couldn't tell the difference, the big bottom draw is used for my outdoor cushions. Nice old sturdy piece of furniture for my lounge. I had actually gone to pick up some free plant pots off a local clearence guy and he asked if i wanted it, people who turned up for the wardrobe couldnt fit it all in the car, so just took the wardrobe part. He was going to take it to the dump. I said why not, sure i can do something with it, he was impressed when I sent him a picture. I've got an old cupboard and drawers I'm going to revamp using it too. It's fun being creative and unique 👍 love watching others like yourselves, creating something beautiful from nothing. You make a good team 💖
