Super cute! I just tried it. It works great, but you will need more wrapping paper on the sides than the normal way. I would definitely reccomend using a square or rectangle box, with no odd shaped corners.

I just used this method from the video. Didn't measure anything, for a different dimensions as well (box shaped though). I was still able to wrap it on thefirdt try. It was also my first try on wrapping any gift. The only thing that happened is that I needed to trim the last triangle on top a bit with scissors. I estimated three times the box width for the paper.

I do better by looking at proportions. Basically, when you lay the box on the wrapping paper, the part below it should come to halfway up the box. The parts to the side should reach the edge on the opposite side of the box. The top has to be the height of the edge so you can just fold it over at the end.

This was driving me crazy but I think I got the proportions! You need the height to be 1.5x the length of the face + 3x the thickness of the object. Width needs to be 3x the width of the face + 2x the thickness. I'd give both an extra cm or so to fold over for a clean edge unless your scissors and cutting skills are really good. If you use the box itself to measure with (highly recommend), and are just generous with the proportions, you should be fine. But, if you prefer seeing numbers, if this phone was, say, 3 inches wide by 5 inches tall, and the box was 1 inch deep, the wrapping paper you'd need would be 1.5 x (5) + 3 x (1) tall and 3 x (3) + 2 x (1) wide. So, you'd use a piece of wrapping paper that is 10.5 in. x 11 in. measured generously.

you dont need dimensions just choose a rectangle box, pull enough wrapping paper so theres more on the sides Then fold the wrapping paper in half so you know where dead center is and place the box in the center pushing it up towards the top of the wrapping paper so theres only two inches or 3 then fold the sides in like shown and fold one over the other, im gonna do a demonstration on my channel now @@Kat-xy7fm

It would be a lot simpler for us beginners you could… 1. Show approx size of box and same with paper size. 2, These videos go so fast even with stopping and starting it’s taken 30 mins to even attempt!! 3. VERBAL instructions would be nice instead of this swift jingle!!! Don’t feel bad as they all do it! It’s like a recipe with no instructions. You watch a cook throw a bunch of spices in a pot, never showing the label ot telling what it is!!
