Craftsman air compressor regulator fix

This is craftsman air compressor was only used a handful of times around the house since new. It has sat in my basement for about a year maybe longer without use. When turned on the output pressure stayed at 0% no matter high high I put it. Instead of spending $25 and waiting two weeks for parts I found a way to fix it for cheap. It's stronger and probably better than new. Hope this help somebody out!

I have one from a dumpster just like yours with almost the same problem. Both gauges work but I am losing air from the adjustment knob. I did not know how to remove the knob. I unscrewed it but it did not come apart and I did not force it apart but now after seeing how you did it I will try again. JB weld is great stuff. I'm sure you still have some of yours left for another so it really didn't cost the whole 6 bucks to fix this one project. Thanks.

I can't turn the regulator know. Is there something I need to loosen to adjust the output pressure?

Mine just started doing this, I think it's the same model you have. Will give this a try instead of throwing it in the truck and driving 50 miles to the Sears repair center. I've only had it around 6 months, Craftsman quality has really gone downhill

Gijeff64 try it, worst case scenario all the effected parts will be replaced with a proper repair anyway. So another words it won't make anything worse.
