I had one for 21 years, the engine finally decided to part ways with the pistons. Wish it had an hourmeter on it, I would have loved to know how many hours it had. It mowed 2 acres at least once a week for 21 years, plus other yard and garden chores along the way. The one I had, had the 18HP briggs & stratton twin cylinder engine on it. Found one on Craigslist the other day for $625 (wish I had the money) it had the Onan 20HP engine in it which I guess is actually built by Subaru.

i still buy em and sell em, people love em down here, you can part it out on ebay and make good chunk off the motor alone

that would be a nice tractor to attach a snow thrower to. I wouldn't part it out either.

$40 for internet is cheap. I had suddenlink for internet in southern WV and I started at $45/mo but 3 years later they got the bill up to $80/mo so I said fuck'em and upgraded my phone for just $20 more.

yep ive still got it i sold the deck but im gonna make it into a utility type a tractor ive got a winch knobby tires and a 130amp alternator to go in it

ibdalovely1 I had a gt6000 saved on my fav from craigslist in Middletown he was selling it for 200 18 kolar twin, horizontal,,mine is 18.5 kolher vertical,,that Middletown machine sold today I did think did you possibly pick it up, I was going to, buy itolder large square lights in front that I love

for me , I have a lt4000 12.5hp for cutting grass(does a great job) mint condition, a lt1000 leaks small amounts of oil left side of engine case somewhere(basicly clean) 19.5 hp briggs. now I have this gt6000 all it needs is spindles the electric pto works, getting grass cut and wood moved up/down these hills I live on is a chore, so I couldn't replace these items for what I could sell them for, they are needed too badly at home,, I truly do understand , asi am in the same situation cash, cash flow wise, all yr round its not a xmas issue

im still debating the partout i wanna clean it up some more and look at the deck these things are quite expensive to repair and parts are going for a mint on ebay

a plow or snow blower be great for that mower i would not part it out. the tractor is set up much like my snapper tractor I picked up with my friend

It might be because the blades if they are just flat they may not create enough airflow to move the cuttings
