Craftsman Ratcheting 26 pc Screw driver set Review

I like this Craftsman 26 PC, ratcheting screw driver set! As I say in the video, normally, I don't like ratcheting screw drivers because they are short and fat, and I can't use them in tight spaces. This set is different than the ones I have seen. I am going to take all the various screw drivers out of my truck, and replace them with this set!

I just saw the comment about how he past away. My heart stopped while reading it. After watching many of his videos, he seems like the most incredible nicest guy ever. I wish I could meet him. He helped me learn how to use this screwdriver I just got because I'm trying to fix an old bike. I still wish I could meet him. I will be praying for him and I will always remember him. Excellent, great video! I was undecided to buy it, Amazon does not have much information. I used to have one with a bit holder inside the handle but the screw-on cap broke. I don't mind carrying the case with all the bits. I really like the telescopic bit holder.

I bought one today and the extender shaft part won't come out, I seen others had the same problem. I seen a few others pry there's apart and remove a small washer that's on the last notch inside. you don't have to pry it apart... to get it apart, grasp the handle and put other hand on the the black part that changes the ratcheting direction (grasp that) then just pull apart very easy to do. Take a needle nose or w/e you can grasp the lil washer with on the last notch and take that off.... put screwdriver back together... fixed!

It would have been cooler if they made the handle out acetate like thier old school drivers. I just prefer the feel and size of the acetate handle. The screwdriver itself is awesome. Very versatile, you can adjust length and if you don't like the ratcheting action, you can switch it off. Only down side is the fat modern handle.

I know this is late but I recently purchased this set from Amazon and I can not figure out how to remove the main shaft from the handle. I can slide the shaft up and down using the quick release with no problem but I can not remove it completely like you did in your video, I thought it was defective so I sent it back. The new does the same thing. Without removing the shaft I have to force it into the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Harding Grim hmm, that is strange! If i remember right there is a button on it. Perhaps they changed it... that actually seems a little better to me. The shaft on this on kept coming out. Do uou find it worse? I wouldn’t want to break yours, but can you push the button in s little farther?

So in your case, you cant pull out the shank and put in the magnet into the handle? I am sick right now so i cant go out and look at it... maybe monday....

I can extend it but not remove it which makes it impossible to fit into the case and I can not insert the magnetic shaft. I thought there might be something else that needs to be done other than holding down the release to extend it. Like I said this is the second one I have received in 3 days and both have the same issue. Anyway thank you again for the quick response but I think I will send them back and try a different brand. I hope you feel better.

Same problem. I just bought it. Stuck the extender shaft in and can't slide it out. It goes up and down though.
