A walk though of several table saw maintenance items with specific respect to the Craftsman model 113, though most are generally applicable to any table saw. This video covers cleaning and lubricating the arbor tilt and height adjustments, cleaning rust from the cast iron top, blade-table alignment, making a zero clearance insert, and wiring a safety stop switch.

Replacing the rip fence with a Biesemeyer style fence, high quality miter gauge ... you can achieve can achieve cabinet saw accuracy. Vibration will be greatly reduced with cast iron pulleys I am using mine to construct furniture and cabinets.

any idea how to square the top of the fence to the table top? mine is identical to yours any help would be great!!!

Aligning blade..have loosened 3 trunion bolts and the blades does not move- loosened the 3 front ones hit both right and left on both ends. can only get within about 3/16(1/ 2 tooth of getting it square. H ave 3 of these saws and this is the only 1 can't aligh. any sugestions jb

After you aligned the blade vertically, you checked for horizontal alignment front and back. You're was ok, but if it wasn't, how would you adjust it? Thank you.

Thanks for the video! I have almost the exact same model (old 113), and I think that I need to lubricate the motor. It has not run in 20 years. It turns on and runs, but it's a little bit rough. When switched off, it does not coast for more than a few seconds. Do you know how/where to apply oil to the motor?

Robert, There are little yellow plastic plugs on each side of the motor. take them off and apply oil into those holes.

I just bought a 113-298150 off Craigslist for $110. It's my first table saw. I cleaned and checked everything out, and there wasn't a single bolt that needed to be tightened, despite it being what... 20 or 30 years old? But, as you mentioned, there is a vibration issue in the motor/belt area. The vibration stopped when I raised the motor in about an inch on it's swivel and locked the nut. Trouble is, you have to loosen it to allow the motor to move when you raise the blade. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the video although I have to disagree with you on the quality of this saw. You said it yourself. These are "Machined Surfaces". They as a habit do that to within hundreths of an inch if they are being sloppy. I have the Model 113.29920 Vintage Table Saw that I too bought off of Craigslist only mine was $75.00, but I got mine with twq additional add ons that make this saw into a very capable Saw indeed. The first add on is the Biesemeyer Fence and extension table. The Extension Table adds another 2 feet to the width of the Tabel Saw, but the Biesemeyer Fence is flat amazing!!!!! I get ZERO, ABSOULOUTLY ZERO difference from the front of the table saw to the rear of the table saw when I lock down the Fence. There is also no play in the blabe what so ever. I am very happy with my Table Saw and yes, I have built all of my Kitchen Cabinets, Bathroom Cabinents and Furniture with it.

Your blade was parallel to your miter slots, but mine is not. How do you make this adjustment?

+mar504 Simply loosen the blade fixture from the underside of the table, align, then tighten back down. Make sure you check the alignment as you tighten things up, as the position can have a tendency to drift

Is there a stop bolt adjustment for setting 90 degree vertical on the blade? Mine is just a bit shy of 90 when cranked fully vertical, and won't go any further. Or, is there an area that may be jammed with sawdust preventing full movement? I've looked but am not able to solve this one- Thanks!

No stop on mine, but the slots that the arbor assembly pivots through often collect debris and need to be cleaned. I’d check them first.

@@herkojh Thanks! I did finally find it using an online manual. There are two allen screws in the table surface just before the blade- the left one is the 90 degree stop. (Don't know what the right one is yet!) Happy Holidays
