I was just in Lowes and the one thing I like about the Versa Stack is the one box with the two slide out drawers. Surprisingly smooth roll-out action. I'm looking for something smaller to go in my car trunk to hold some camping gear. The Versa Stack should fit nicely in the Honda Civic.

Just want to say that I've had 2 of the largest Tradestack rolling boxes outdoors for a year plus in the Northeast and i use them every day and they don't leak and they are still going strong. Never had any issues with the plastic latches like everyone was worried about. I love my versastack and tstak as well and i mix and match my stacks depending on what tools i need. Not as big and heavy and expensive as packout

Thank you @Tool in Hand for this comparison. I bought the Tradestack today and there are a couple of basic functions that are making me consider returning it: 1) the handle on the top unit is really hard to lift and I was never able to extend it fully and 2) the small containers in the top unit are extremely hard to open - Questions, please: is there a trick to lifting the handle or opening the lids on the small containers? Thank you.
@toolinhand3 жыл бұрын
The handle doesn't extend all the way for me either. It's still functional, though. The lids will loosen in time. Thanks for watching!

The Tradestack is defenitly larger has more storage room then the versastack or stanley tstack and the dewalt tstack
@trptgk3 жыл бұрын
My experience with the versa stack is that the clips on the front come off. This has been a problem for others as well- one person suggested using zip ties to keep them attached. I like the adapter idea, but it’s only available when you buy the rolling box or the full stack. Hopefully they consider making it available separately.
@Coty00102 жыл бұрын
I really wish they'd also consider making versa stack latch kits aswell, so that you can make accessories out of 1/2" ply and wall/truck mounts.

The plastic latches on the trade stack are very strong and haven't given me any issues past 2 yrs

The versastack and the Stanley tstack and the dewalt tstack remind me of the husky system I have for locking the boxes together similar to the dewalt toughsystem 1.0 and 2.0 were the tradestack the lock system I like were the release is in the front but the issue with that versastack adapter not good @Tool in Hand
@toolinhand3 жыл бұрын
In hind sight, if you have something on that adapter being thrown around enough for it to release, you have bigger problems. I still like the Tradestack.

The price is right for versastack! I have multiple boxes and I love it. That trade stack looks like it is a new cheap COVID-19 product. Definitely buy something that is tried and true like the versastack. TX JMAN ELECTRICIAN

Do you think its worth getting the Versa Stack (which seems to be getting harder and harder to find in my local Lowes) or perhaps something more creative like the Ryobi Link stuff? I have the Ridgid rolling boxes which are outstanding but like the versatility of the Versa system. I see the Trade Stack in the stores now but there isnt much or any for add ons.

I tried both and I went with the tstak/versastack because I was able to get drawers. I got the dewalt T stak trolley so I am able to put the drawers in the bottom and the boxes on the top. I found it way more convenient for my use. If tradstack just came out with a bit more stuff I would have gone with it but price point and more varieties goes to the T-stack in my opinion. Btw I found both systems to be very very close in dimensions but I gave tradestack the winner because of how ridged it was.
