Another great episode by my favorite knitting sisters! The charity knitting piece bought tears to my eyes. My best friend passed away after battling breast cancer to 32 years. ANY charity that supports those ladies at such a trying time of their lives has my support and love. Well done, ladies!

I've been watching you girls since Episode 1 of the GG, and am so thrilled with your success. You ladies are everything that's right with knitting podcasts in general - fun, uplifting, inspiring, humor, non-political (I particularly appreciate that), and generosity! I'm your biggest fan in Texas! You should think about doing a knitting retreat in Denver - I bet it would be a huge hit and crazy fun!

I love your charity work. My mother-in-law got her second diagnosis of breast cancer this year and the first action of mine was searching for a suitable pattern for a heartpillow which helps her while sleeping or sitting in front of the TV. It was really easy to crochet and also a therapy for myself. She loves it and I love it that there are also so many other projects that can help people with any kind of cancer. Your doing a great Job ❤

You two are my knit therapy. You make my day every time. Love the tips. I help teach a yarn club of middle schoolers in knit or crochet. Last winter we made hats and scarves for our special Olympic group. We also help our local cancer treatment center here too. As a survivor myself I know the benefit is much appreciated.

Good afternoon beautiful ladies. Have you guys ever considered making a ravelry project page for Off our Needles? You share so many fabulous patterns and you seem to have samples of them all. Kind of like a photo album of show notes. I know it would be a tonne of work, but boy would people ever use it, I think. Great episode, once again.

Wow! Funny you should mention charity knitting. I just knotted a couple of hats from Knots of Love website for my cousin who just started chemo last week for cancer all over her body. As I read everything on their website, I was in awe of how organized they are and all the patterns available. I like that they encourage to donate for the free pattern. And, last but not least, LOOOOOVE YOU GALS!

Fun show as always!! I wish you had shown how to bring the ends of the cowl together. I understand the provisional CO and the concept of grafting the ends, but I can't put it together in my head how you graft a tube of stockinette together. And how do you weave in the ends when you're done? I have seen other patterns that do this technique and I have never knitted them, because I just don't understand how to do the last bit of finishing. Craftsy, can you please do a tutorial on this part of the project? I have not seen a video out there that covers this part. Thank you!!! Wonderful charities. My dear best friend died 7 years ago of breast cancer so I'm only too familiar with what patients go through.

Hey Pattymac Knits, the technique to graft the two live ends together is called the Kitchener stitch.
@PattymacMakes

Thanks Alix!! I understand that part, but how do you put the two ends together? It's hard for me to visualize. And how to do you weave in the ends if you're sewing it shut and the wrong side is sealed off inside? I just can't figure that part of it out.

Knitted knockers is a great charity. I had a lumpectomy so one of my breasts is smaller than the other. With a knitted knocker, I can take out some of the filling to make a prostheses that looks natural. It's not only for people with complete mastectomies. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking of joining that class also . I heard that the Portuguese knitting is the fastest. I'm new but if I'm doing a scarf or something I would like to go faster. I do the English one but thanks to KZbin I was able to learn the Continental - but I tend to go back to the English - So I have to reteach myself to stay in practice. I love how Stacy from Very Pink here on KZbin knits (I think it's a German style knitting she has shown how to do it but, I need to practice it more it just isn't that easy to pick up - happy knitting thanks for advising on that class

Hey ladies, how are you guys. Soo I always watch because I love to and the yarn is so pretty and expensive. My question today is what yarn/yarns could I use for a shawl that drapes well and pretty that's affordable and for socks also. What can you girls recommend for folks who can't afford the expensive yarn. and still get nice shawls that drapes well and socks that can fit in your shoes thatss cute

Hello, I love watching you two sisters. I have a few questions. First, I never knit a sweater and I hate doing cables. I think because my tension is off when I do them. One side of the cable looks neat and the other side the stitches after the cable look stretched out. Could you chose to do this sweater without the cables? Second, I have narrow shoulders and very wide hips. The classic pear shape. Can you knit the pattern following the stitches for size medium for the hip area and then decrease to size small at the neckline? (not my actual size). Because of my shape, my shirts always fall off one shoulder and my bra straps are always sticking out. I would love to make a sweater that actually fits my contrary shape. Also, would it be hard to figure out how to combine the two sizes? Thank you for your help.
