I'm absolutely new here and the quality of this tutorial, both in artistry and in explaining and teaching the thinking and the brush and colour techniques used to bring this wonderful fine art piece to it's own life is exceptional. This is much more akin to 2D painting then anything I have ever attempted to create, but that beautiful representational style is so very cleverly used to render the 3D volumes on this model that I'm immediately convinced and thoroughly fascinated. Such new territory for me, and I'm foolishly ⛔, immediately driven to try this approach in the smaller scale that I use for game models, I have many malifaux and carnivale models for instance with costume similarities to Ezekiel that I'd love to lavish this beautiful approach on, that representation of textured light and colour would really make them shine. I'm under no illusion that it will be immediately or easily transferable, even if I grasped the tutorial well, but I think it would create a wonderful aesthetic for these ranges. More importantly it can only stretch, benefit and inform my painting range I wonder if you had any quick guiding thoughts on applying the approach to the tinier volumes of 28 and 32mm? (I will be getting and printing an Ezekiel to directly follow your work once I've practiced a little.) Bless you for sharing such a valuable tutorial here

Thank you very much. We hope you will enjoy Paint Along and we are looking forward to see your results. These techniques can be used on smaller models, check other videos on our YT page. There is live video painting 28mm model. Also you will find many tutorials and exercises at our Patreon. Ps. I am currently working on Step by Step pdf of Marko's work on a bust featuring painting a bust and a 32mm mini wisong same steps. That should be nice insight to answer your question. 😄🥰

everything is great,, but i am still a fan of having a camera shot of the wet pallet... i know it may be dumb and add to the work, but being a visual learner, seeing all the parts of the machine help me learn more...but all in all, im a happy patreon subscriber and dig on your lessons!

Thank you for understanding. We had palette shots on some videos but it is not so easy managing all those videos and editing. Especially working with 4k quality. If we find easier way to return palette shot in future, we will. But for now, we try to bring all details closer trough many graphics and speach :)

Hi. Is it okay to give an approximate dilution and the paint used for the glazing underlayer? I know this ratio can change a lot between paints but I'm curious to know how much you thin it down
@CraftworldStudio2 жыл бұрын
I would say 50%/50% or 40%paint/60%water. But yes. It depends on paints :)
