This was the best Weird Al interview ever. I think Ferguson has the mentality to keep up with him. Most talk show hosts turn a Weird Al appearance into a snoozefest.

As much as I miss the show, it's better to know he was done and deciding to leave, rather than being forced off the air or into a longer contract he didn't want.

Whoever was involved with the decision making to put Weird Al Yankovic and Craig Ferguson in the same room together, and to record the results no less, deserves every conceivable award for television.

Well you have to have something to promote to make the interview rounds....so when he DOES have something to sell like album or tour then he does go to the latenight shows :)

I know I post this every time and on every clip, but the speed of Al's "Wurlitzer" reply is proof of how his brain goes as quick as Robin Williams'. They always have (had) replies ready when people are halfway through the questions.

I think I get what you mean. Now that he's no longer under contract he's free to explore the entertainment industry and show off other talents that he may be hiding. The man is very intelligent. If he wants to excel at anything else I have zero doubt he will any trouble figuring out how to do it. 🙂

I mean, once Kurt Cobain loved Weird Al's parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" all the artistic snobbery was over...it doesn't get better than Nirvana. Good artist don't feel the need to be so self-serious...Prince really missed out!
