i was in a deep depression when i found out about Craig Ferguson (i live in germany, so i watched all his shows on KZbin), and he is one of the main reasons i got out of it. This episode saved my life. 6 months sober and I thank god I'm still alive. I had everything I'm my youth and did my best to throw it away but somehow by the grace of God I was able to get sober after 2 decades of alcohol abuse. I'm still young only 32 yrs old and look forward to sharing the light within me that I thought alcohol took away permanently.

Same. I remember his show was the first late night show I've ever watched. Even though I was super young and didn't understand any of it but I still loved it. Geoff, the flags when they swore, and the puppets where what I remember from my childhood. Still my favorite host. His successor James Gordon is alright but the no fucks given attitude was all lost.

Man, I’ve had so many conversations about my own addictions and compulsions (nothing as bad as Bobby, but safer stuff that has eaten up my life). This convo is really encouraging, and it’s encouraging seeing Bobby at the end of good, scary advice from an older friend. I’m so used to being that guy. Craigs way ahead of me, I want to take his words to heart.

Nothing changes if nothing changes is like saying an apple is an apple or white is white. It neither defines a concept, as a concept cannot be self defining and fit into the subject and natuee of existence, nor does it describe a concept, as knowledge of the concept is required as a prerequisite of knowing the concept. It's a non statement that is often spouted by quasi intellectual too fool those less critically thinking than themselves that the have a depth of understanding, such as Popeye perhaps. Though i would love to hear your counter argument to convince me that tautologies do give meaning.

@@cookeymonster83 Tautologies become important when people deny their truth. The law of identity, for example, is foundational - that "A is A", or "a thing is a thing" - and yet huge numbers of people deny it's truth. In an ideal world, law of identity might never need to be stated because it's self-evident. But that's not the world we live in. Mathematics is fundamentally tautological. "2 + 2 = 4" is true in all possible circumstances. Yet, nobody would conclude, "therefore mathematics is useless and doesn't tell you anything about the world".

If Bobby got into fitness and did a comedy vlog of his transformation it would set the internet on fire. It could be funny, inspiring, heartwarming but of course sarcastically pessimistic per usual. It could help a lot of people who's necks hurt from vaping.

You guys are killing it Tigerbelly! I still watch clips of Craig's show to this day when I need a pick me up. Never expected these two worlds to collide and this episode was extra special to me because I'm also someone who struggled with sobriety and both Bobby and Craig are inspirational. The fact that you can get so many legendary celebrities on your show proves that you must be a really good person in real life because they all seem to have a lot of respect for you and seem very comfortable around you. Please take care of your stuff Bobby because I know everyone is rooting for you and nobody wants to see you struggle with a relapse.
