My dad was a trucker for over 50 years and he loved good country music like this. I just buried him a week ago today 6/01/2019 and I almost picked up the phone to call him today. My dad passed away on April 23rd 2014. I never heard this song until after he died, now every time I hear it, it makes me want to cry because I've so many great memories with him. HOME, for me, is mama making biscuits in the kitchen while me and dad were working outside in the hot sun, my dad helped me catch my first fish when I was just 3 years old, he taught me how to drive, how to work and be a man. A lot of you might not care about all this that I'm saying, but at the time, I never really thought about how much those moments would mean to me, I'll never get those precious moments back, but I still hold tight to the memories me and him had together, but I'll be with him again some day, until then, I know I'll never be HOME again

Oh, This Song! That's just where I was, after 3 suicide attempts from my four yr old daughter being kidnapped out of her bed at night! I was " almost home" when doctors and nurses brought me back to talk. I didn't have any answers, but I knew, I was Almost Home! Sure was a much better place than what I was presently living in. It's been about 26 years since I asked God to carry me because couldn't take those first steps on my own. I became addicted to all types of prescription medications. You quickly learn, What pills get you up and going, which ones keep you going and which ones put you down to rest, but you very seldom seek rest. I had a job and had to raise my other children. God heard my cries and answered my prayers. I vowed to God, If he would help me, I wouldn't over dose on pills again. Here I am, over 35 years later, I'm still searching for my daughter, and God is still watching over me. This song is a comfort in knowing, although I was "Almost Home", God has other plans for me. And I haven't finished searching for my daughter, Jessica. I hope when it is my time to go, God let's me see and feel like, I'm Almost Home! 🙏 ❤

I love this song,it reminds me of my brother who is homeless by choice.He drinks all the time and we all have tried to help him but he seems like he don't want it.He's 51 now,like a broke down all man,He can hardly walk anymore. During the winter i go looking for him,taking him clothes and blankets.Renting a motel room for him. In the summer i try to keep him cool.He gets locked up alot,I'm glad when he does,I know he's warm and got 3 meals a day. He's one of 6 brothers and all have took him in with no luck.Now his mind is bad and he was almost beat to death by the police.Please pray for him.His name is (Roger)

I will pray for him, I guess every family probably has one...I can say we do. He's not my brother...and @ times I refuse to call him my step son. We don't know what to do with him. he's almost 34 and he's done everything to us including stealing over $35,000.00 in cash, checks, tools, guns, computers, you name it he stole them and sold them for money and if that's not bad enough he's O D several times but they brought him back. I get angry, but unfortunately I have a heart...I always take him back, thinking he learned his lesson. I guess neither of un learned our lesson., because he keeps taking & I keep taking him back. Today he's with us again. All I can say is but for the Grace of God there goes I. Thank you Jesus and please help Ann's brother, & bless Ann!

This reminds me so much of my daddy. He died on skid row alley in Seattle Washington in December 1978. He died homeless. A WW2 Vet. I was stationed in Korea at the time and couldn’t make it back for the funeral. He had been missing for many years when they found him dead. So sad 😞.
