@audreywy17436 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Kuetemann, I'm already there was the 1st country song I ever heard (not counting from movies, etc). It was after my divorce and I was driving back home late at night with my son. It was for him to see his dad, it was a 4 hour drive. My son was only 5 and didn't like what I was listening to (Metallica), I turned on the radio and this was on, he said "stop momma". We listened to the song and he began sobbing uncontrollably. I thought something was wrong so I pulled over. I jumped into the backseat and held him. When he calmed down he said, momma we don't have to come down here all the time now, daddy's already with me. I didn't get it because I didn't really listen to the song. He went on to explain his view of the song and he broke my heart. It's amazing what kids pick up on. I'll always love that song, from my baby's ears.

First time hearing this song. Through the first chorus it hit hard. Would like to have had a change to the chorus later to suggest some resolution. Country song writers are killer, jokes about "country songs" notwithstanding. Any Keith Whitley would be outstanding. Tell Lorrie I love her... I'm over you. I mean like so many of the greatest artist, across all genres of music, Keith was haunted by his past. Had such talent and ability. His demons eating him alive were his bane and the driving factor that propelled him to preform at such a legendary level in his genre. The history of Keith is both inspiring and tragic, sadly like so many of the legends. A man could stand to learn so much from Keith's life. Mainly that no matter your endeavors in life, if you allow yourself to be constantly enveloped by raw emotion it can irrevocably alter the trajectory of your future and every person that you touch. God bless. And thanks for all that you guys do to bring people together in such a unique way, like only music and open minded "free thinkers" can

Seeing y'all hear the songs I've known since childhood and really break them down I love it and love what you do. When you're too close to something and familiar you don't get all of it always and I appreciate y'all bringing it to the forefront.

“That Lonesome Song” - Jamey Johnson. I’d love to see y’all react to that. “Almost Home” is one that always hit me in the feels. Thanks.

Hey guys. I’m writing in from rural Nova Scotia, Canada and I love how you guys do this. First of all I love this song and I remember the first time I heard it (made me a Craig Morgan fan to this day). I just wanted you to know that I appreciate what you’re doing with all genres of music. Your open mind ness is incredible and I hope people learn from you. I know I’m gonna keep watching for sure!

You got to do some Gary Allan. Preferably "Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain", "Life Ain't Always Beautiful", "It Ain't The Whisky", or "No Regrets". He is a highly under-rated singer, and a must have to listen to!
@tyk8886 жыл бұрын
Oh!!!!! Yes!!!! Gary! He sings a Chris Stapleton song that for the life if me I can't remember.
@SilverbladeDagger6 жыл бұрын
Well, the only one I now of his is song writing credit for "Drinking Dark Whisky", but I don't remember Chris singing it.

I vote for "Alright Guy" as the first Gary Allan review, lol. That song cracks me up. Some of my other favorites: Wake Up Screaming Red Lips, Blue Eyes, Little White Lies Smoke Rings In The Dark Sorry What Would Willie Do (lol) Can't Do It Today Putting My Misery On Display The Smoke Rings In The Dark, Alright Guy, and Tough All Over albums are full of winners, but most of these have a faster tempo and aren't depressing like (many of) the country songs they've reviewed so far. Edited to add: Yes! Drinkin' Dark Whiskey is a great choice too! 👌

This is one of my favorite reactions so far from you guys...a very humbling song for sure. It makes you think and forces some honest points of view; it got you thinking about your own experiences and or thoughts when coming across the homeless. I sure pictured the whole thing as it was playing.

Alan Jackson - “where were you when the world stopped turning” he wrote this song the day after 9/11 and then sang it that day at the country music awards for everyone to hear for the first time. Blew everyone away. It’s also one of them universal songs. Absolutely everyone can relate!
