I don't think anyone has wanted to edit Craig, as his stories contradict themselves, often change, and seem the opposite of what Satoshi was working on. Satoshi worked with several crpherpunks, that he obviously admired. For years we were told he was going to sell all BTC, now he doesn't care. If Bitcoin was totally controlled by the law, it would be exactly the same as the banking system, that doesn't solve anything, and I have no idea why proof of work would be necessary? BSV is like Tron, but would cost more to run, if it ever became popular. It's also completely different to what Craig talked about in the BCH days, when it seemed to be about making Bitcoin untraceable.

@markdelej
@markdelej Жыл бұрын
@@keypawn3024 well that wouldnt ever happen and isnt possible in reality. 3 or 4 large minors own just over 50% of hash power but the hash power they have is from pooled minors dispersed all around the world. As soon as there is even a mention of government forcing a transaction to be changed on the bitcoin network everyone will disconnect within seconds or minutes from these mining pools and their hash rate will plummet and they’ll have no power to change any transactions then. You would need more than 50% of the network to change a transaction and also it isnt simple to edit a transaction.

@@JonathanCr0ss Actually it depends, If the vast majority of miners are in the US/EU/Japan/S Korea, and other US allied countries, it may actually be feasible. Bitmain launched ASIC years ago and huge chunks of mining were in China but that has changed over the last 3 years and very few miners are in china now. At the same time, the US has a massive increase in mining and yes, these miners could possibly be forced to do things by court order. As mining gets out of the hands of small garage operators and goes into the hands of basically data center level operators, the feasibility of this increases dramatically.

@@CelonixCleaningServicesLLC Don't waste your time pal. The chances of Craig Wright being Satoshi is exactly 0%. Not only is there a complete absence of any hard evidence that he invented bitcoin, but he's also been caught lying at least twenty times: (1) The Sartre proof was faked, which he's since admitted. (2) The Tulip trust, which supposedly proved he and Dave Kleiman worked on bitcoin together, was actually created in 2014, a year after Klieman died. (3) If you read the emails between him and Ira Kleiman, he changes his story about how much Kleiman was involved. First it was Craig, David, and some other guy. Then it was Craig and David. And finally, during the Kleiman v Wright lawsuit (2018), Wright said Kleiman had nothing to do with it. (4) He makes baffling technical claims - like that bitcoin is Turing complete (it isn't). He also gets caught out disagreeing with Satoshi's own quotes when people send them to him on Twitter. (5) Three judges in three separate countries have caught him lying in court. Their statements about his character are scathing. I should also point out he could move some early coins or sign a message publicly and prove his claims in about 8 seconds. When asked why he won't, he comes up with the weirdest excuses like "I don't want to make it easy for them," or something. Which indicates he has something of a messiah complex. Anyway, the above is what I could remember off the top of my head, I stopped following what he's up to after he was ordered to pay $150m to Kleiman's family and tried to spin that as a victory. There's loads more out there. Again, don't waste your time on that clown. The better candidates are Szabo, Finney, and Dai.

The way Craig sums up the session with the Judge at the end highlights the problem he faces. In his eyes there is only one way to prove it and that is the way he says and it makes total sense that can be the only way to prove Craig as a person is Satoshi. Using keys like he says proves nothing and he is correct. You need people to speak up and say what they say and people will decide for themselves. The next stage is then using Keys...
@akogepayo

One logical fallacy I see from people who criticized Craig is that an assumption was always made that Satoshi Nakamoto is not a flawed person and must be an upright individual. How could they saw this behavior of Satoshi Nakamoto as certain without knowing him personally is beyond reason to explain, we are not gods. It's like we know exactly how the "Messiah" will do, and what family he was about to be born, and what type of career he may have, and if the Messiah comes along with all your expectations gone out of the window, you will reject him right away, regardless of proof or reasons. (Disclaimer: I am not saying Craig is SN, just to correct the logical fallacy from anti Craig camp).

He has incredible amount of knowledge about Bitcoin and blockchain, he developed many inventions on top of Bitcoin, his company has massive amount of IP about Bitcoin. BTC core developers refused to scale Bitcoin and changed its protocol many times. Miners obeyed them. Bitcoin continued as Bitcoin Cash. Then, people in BCH wanted to change the protocol and they continue on a different chain with different rules. Bitcoin brand is stolen with a dirty propaganda on social media by small blockers. Here's what most of your normies and maybe Craig Wright don't understand about the legal definition of "Person". In the legal world, a person can be more than one individual. With that in mind, the courts may treat the name SATOSHI NAKAMOTO as an express trust where Craig Wright is the Grantor. While, the Developers are the trustees. In an express trust, there isn't a written contract. The contract is implied. The trustees have legal ownership of the name while Craig Wright may claim Grantor/Beneficiary privileges in a court of competent jurisdiction. What Craig Wright needs to do is find his keys to prove he is the trust beneficiary of the Satoshi Nakamoto trust entity. There's no need for the courts to get in the way of enforcing a trust contract since the system is trustless. Besides, governments have no authority to interfere with a private contract between 2 parties. Courts can be used to enforce copyright infringement and patent law. Craig Wright has the patents.

Craig was using courts to prove his identity. Bringing in live witnesses that corroborates his claims is impossible to fake. You can have these witnesses check their backgrounds to ascertain the possibility that all of them are lying. To date, the only weak point of Craig is that he refuses to sign using one of Satoshi's keys. That's a default win to critics, and a hard pill to swallow by his supporters. However, his refusal to sign is consistent with his method that using courts to prove one's identity and also is consistent with his claims that "keys" are not absolute proof of someone's identity. As he said: The mere possession of a key will never in itself be evidence of identity or ownership. Secondly: One critic has stated that if Craig will use an actual Satoshi key in a public signing, it will be interpreted as Craig stole one of Satoshis's keys. So, there is already a verdict against him and the narrative shows you that.

Then go check out the numerous times that this cosplayer completely contradicted Satoshi Nakamoto his visions and advices (for example about pumping arbitrary data in the blockchain, about being decentralized, about offchain scaling, about full nodes, about irreversible transactions, about Nakamoto consensus etc etc) and you will realize how hilariously wrong you are. any payment system, esp one which is going to be used globally, MUST WORK WITHIN THE LAW. This is just a fact. If you think these government are traitors and things like that, that they are corrupt etc, you could be right, however not all governments are like that. If you are American, sure, your government is that corrupt so understandable you don't want THAT government to do anything, however its fault of American people to keep allowing such blatant and extreme corruption to exist in the government in the first place, and if you did anything about it, you could end up with one which is not, or at least way less corrupt, in which case you would want them having ability to ceise coins from criminals, including corruption within the government, and banks, and corporations etc. Any normal human being would want this, and there are other perfectly valid reasons to be able to do this, just because you don't see it doesn't mean they don't exist. So, court order can for sure make actual nodes (MINERS) which is not a great number of, as pointed out by Craig (also proving yet again that BTC's narrative of user's having any power in running non-mining "nodes" is just plain false), can indeed do all those things Craig says they can... and will do eventually.
