I purchased this Firearm in 2022 and shooting almost 1000 rounds without any Failures and It has proven to be a very accurate and smooth shooting gun! TIP: This gun has NO Feed Ramp and the magazines are designed to act as a feed ramp for this gun. You must frequently Clean these mags because they will get dirty and then you will have feeding problem. I use only Hi Velocity 40 grain CCI Mini Mag ammo with copper clad bullets and I have had no issues at all! I also purchased a Auto Loader from "LUDEX" and this makes loading a dream to do with no errors. I also purchased a third magazine and Installed that 17 round extension, which gives me a 50 round magazine which works great! Good Luck with your Gun!

I recently bought one and immediately bought an extra magazine and the American Speedloader from KelTec. If you run the suggested ammo and load with the speed loader, it will never fail you. I just put a reflex sight on today and I was banging nails at 10 yards. I'm using 40 grain, coated LRN, CCI Mini-Mag and didn't have ONE failure of any kind, shooting 150 rounds...I love this gun. I believe anyone having issues with this pistol is doing one of two things. Using the wrong ammo, or not loading the magazines correctly. These 33 round magazines have to be loaded correctly, or you will get FTF's...the speed loader makes it a snap...loads fast AND correctly...

I have a friend who got one. I was doubtful about it but it is more accurate than both his Ruger Mk IV and his Supermatic Citation. The trigger is very good, surprisingly so. I punched a 33 round 1” hole with cheap ammo at 20 yards off a rest with a Burris FastFire III red dot sight mounted on it, with the dot set on low (so it was smaller), shooting slow for best accuracy. He and I can’t do that small a group with these other pistols. The double-double stack magazine is a feat of engineering. I am getting one. It would be great for hunting squirrels and rabbits due to its high capacity and accuracy, as well as being accurate for competition. He said he got it for about $450, came with two mags. The Fastfire red dot sight was separate of course. It would be really great and fun with a rimfire suppressor for hunting. Maybe even put a pistol magnification scope, 2x or 4x, on it?

Man looking at it just makes me think of classic era sci fi movie and magazine ray guns. Honestly, this would have bern better if they had made it a slight bit taller and wider and put the innards such that the barrel could be longer and the grip nearly dead flush with the back end of the pistol. Pretty much a bullpup design. This would give it a lot more barrel length and probanly better performance.
@CraigsGunChannel5 жыл бұрын
I agree it looks a little sci-fi like. Some people do not like that, but I do. As far as the design, using a bolt versus a moving slide is a major reason it is designed the way it is. The good thing is, to make it a carbine they only need to add a longer barrel and a buttstock, the rest is good to go as it.

Would have been great if they didn't make it look like a blaster from Star Wars. They could have kept the same concept of the PMR30 and made it in .22LR with the same design but adding the threaded barrel and maybe a couple of other little details. In all honesty, the "AR"-esk bolt and charging handle concept was a terrible call for a redesign of the PMR30.
@CraigsGunChannel5 жыл бұрын
You are correct it looks a little like a blaster, and the looks are very much a take it or leave it proposition. I like the looks of it but do see where it may be a little off-putting. the design was driven in part I believe in an effort to create as long of a sight radius as possible as well as keep a fixed barrel and non reciprocating slide, all to help make it more accurate. It is intended for competition, however overall I think you are correct, it would have been an overall better design to keep the overall dimensions of the PMR30 and made it work with 22LR.

The CP33 is advertised as being fine for suppressor use. The PMR30 had a delayed blowback operation which requires the barrel to be able to recoil for operation. A suppressor increases chamber pressure while at the same time increases barrel mass, not allowing for correct functioning. The CP33 on the other hadn is a pure blowback operated firearm, and a suppressor should be fine.

KH wait, are you talking about ace ventura starring jim carey the escaped mental patient who should move back to canada?
It is a large handgun, but the idea was to make a competition gun and the increased sight radius of the design assists in precision shooting. I think a smaller version would sell well for them however.

Actually I have found they load very easy, much easier than the PMR 30. Of course, it still takes some time to load 33 rounds.

It seems cool, and isn’t half bad, but... That has got to be one of the ugliest pistols ever, like really, it’s on par with the high point in the looks department

I admit it is different. I kinda like the look myself, but to be fair it did have to grow on me a bit.

BIG UGLY PISTOL THAT ONLY SHOOTS TINY BULLETS MY THOUGHT
@CraigsGunChannel5 жыл бұрын
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but from a purely factual description, it is a big boxy gun that shoots small bullets...
@rancidpitts82435 жыл бұрын
Tiny Bullets, yes, yes they are. Do not under estimate those tiny bullets. A team member took a doe at the USAF Survival School with a Derringer in 22 rf ; one shot to the head. As for Ugly, who cares. As a tool for getting food ugly counts for NOTHING; usefulness is everything.

After owning a PMR 30, which is a total piece of shit! I would never buy anything from Kel-tec! You used the term unabtainium that's what the definition of what functionality is for a Kel-tec PMR 30!

Wow! Lots of negative replies for a piece that is fairly difficult to get at this time due to its popularity. I guess all these nay-sayers and smart mouths don't have much of a clue what they are talking about. Lesson learned. Keep mouth shut, eyes and ears open. LOLOL

LOL, it has been my experience that people generally love or hate all things Kel-Tec. I appreciate them for what they bring to the market, who else would design, build and produce (even though production is not where people would want) firearms such as a folding 9mm, downward ejecting bullpup, forward ejecting bullpup, dual tube high capacity shotguns, or a 22 pistol that holds 33 rounds. Kel-Tec is an innovator, and I for one appreciate that.

@@CraigsGunChannel I love mine from the limited time I've owned it. It fits and feels great in the hand. It is well balanced. The fiber optic sights are excellent, and for the most part appear to be "lit up" when looking through them, making target acquisition while being on the mark a breeze. Field strip breakdown (as you've shown us) is a snap. Not a lot of parts. As long as you keep track of the break down pin, you can't lose anything. That is the one thing I've noted so far that would be better - if the breakdown pin stayed attached to the lower as they do on an AR. The naysayers and make fun of, and belittle it as much as they want. I'll be laughing at them all the way to and from the range. While this wouldn't be a prime self defense weapon due to its caliber, it sure is going to be fun to shoot... and being that I'm not into killing people, isn't that what it's all about? With that picatinny on top, I've already mounted my 3-9x40 Vortex Diamondback scope on it just for the fun of taking a picture for Extreme Squirrel Hunting magazine. LOL I may even send some rounds downrange at say 50 or 100yd with the scope on it just for the challenge of stretching the capabilities, and see how tight a group I can manage at distance. Fun, fun, fun.
@CraigsGunChannel4 жыл бұрын
@@johnbeaupain I agree with you on the takedown pin, it's not unusual for pistols to have a removable pin for assembly, but it would be nice if it were captured. Let us know how the long distance shooting goes.
