It's not because it's listening to what you say. It's because it knows what you are searching for like when you look for stuff up on Google... the apps are connected and will send you ads for what you have been searching for when it comes to products or other things.

@Tommy Ealey other people that you had the conversations with could have searched it up on their own device and if they are connected to the same towers that you are where you are at that time then it knows you are together and will send it to you also. Not just cell towers, but also Wi-Fi routers. You don't just have to be looking it up, other people can be and it will still send it to you because you were on the same Tower or router.

As a person who has sewn my own clothes since I was 12, worked for a couture designer when I was 19, and started my own tailoring business out of my house when my son was little... I love sewing machines. I'm always shocked at how cheaply they sell for, and many get thrown out because people aren't willing to pay even $10 for a perfectly good machine. Well, people who aren't me. I own 9 sewing machines because I can't pass up a beautiful vintage machine. I'd love to see that Elna. That was the kind of machine I used when I sewed for the designer, and it was a work horse that never skipped stitches. Currently, my go-to favorite machine is a 1960s turquoise blue Brother machine made in Japan. A friend found it at a yard sale for $10. I have a $2000 Singer machine I've just about given up on because it malfunctions if you look at it sideways! Too many plastic parts. The new machines made by Brother that are sold at Walmart are garbage, sadly.

If you are in the suburbs of Chicago like the guy who makes these videos, there is a place in Lexington, IL that repairs old machines called Montgomery Sewing Center. They've been in business for many decades. I have seen some stuff they post locally. That is one of the only places I know in Illinois.

@@bloomingtonjoe Unfortunately I'm far from anything, living off-grid on a mountain in S. California. The closest sewing machine repair is 40 miles away and they are very expensive and not good. They mostly repair vacuums and their customer service sucks (pun intended). I took my vintage Singer Featherweight there for a minor issue and they turned it into a major one by throwing off the timing. They refused to do anything or refund my $, claiming that I must have caused it even though I was never able to use it after they effed it up. I spent over $100 for them to ruin a great machine. My Singer that needs repair is an expensive embroidery machine, and I sure won't trust it to those jerks! I may have to ship it to someone good like Montgomery, but it would be great to find someone I can see in person.

When my MIL passed a few years ago, we donated her machine and surger to a local quilting guild for a novice starting out. Hopefully to one who was of lesser means wanting to break into the hobby.

@@Patrick_B687-3 Bless you for that! When my son was little and I started a sewing business in my house, I needed a machine that could sew heavy upholstery fabrics. A lady at my church gave me a 1970 Pfaff machine that could sew through 8 layers of denim and had the walking foot which really helped. I sure was grateful to get that machine. You probably made someone very happy!

Yes, we do! I'd like to "adopt" him. I'm a weird old hippy lady who lives off-grid on a mountain where it takes me @ 30 minutes to drive to a paved road. The dirt road to my solar/wind/battery powered house is only 3 miles, but it's very rough road and I stop often to pick up the trash that thoughtless people throw out here. I dress the way I want to which seems to bother some people. Most think I'm homeless, but I own a 3 bdrm house on 20 acres of pristine wilderness and love my 10 goats and 8 chicken "family" who don't give a cluck what I look like. I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am! I understand his feeling of connection to the earth being sacred. There's a huge granite boulder next to my house that soaks up warmth from the sun all day, so in the evening when it's very dark (no light pollution up here) I can lie on my back on that warm boulder with my dog and look up at the Milky Way and ponder the Universe. I never found that kind of spirituality inside a church.

What decides an items worth is firstly the retail value. for antique items obviously there is no retail, therefore the price of the item is whatever someone is willing to pay for it, hence why auctions are a very accurate representation of the buying/selling costs of items.

The real problem with that is Ebay prices can be all over the place.This coming from a long time rated Ebay seller a item can have a sold price of $49.99 but even 1 little tiny piece or even a little bit of dirt on an item can make a big difference in price.Also there can be one that sold for $49.99 in Feb but back in Dec it could have sold for $89.99 just depends on what is listed at the time.

That is nice of him, but eBay is not known for their good prices! eBay is for convenience shoppers who like to shop online and don't mind paying a little extra to have the item delivered to their door. I'm a re-seller too however I only started doing this about 2 years ago. I have had around 250 customers so far!

Are you local to the store? What kind of modern edc type folding knife selection does he have? Locking blades with pocket clips. Civivi, Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, ProTech, anything like that? It would be a long long drive for me. His prices seem worlds better than my local pawn shops who generally ask about 90% of new, sometimes *more* than brand new, for their clapped out stuff.

I love how Peter is trying to size up the understanding of his customers so he can understand where they are so he can do honest business with them. If some people come in and have items for sale and are not all the way there Peter will catch onto that and try to help the person get the deal thats fair for them. Lots of buyers will detect that they are doing business with a person that can be taken advantage of and peter is not like that

What's the best thing you've ever found at thrift stores? I love hearing about the great finds people make. I live near Palm Springs California, famous for being the winter home of many old time movie stars and the best thrift stores I've ever found. A former neighbor bought a bag filled with very nice high end designer silk ties there for $5. When she got home, she noticed each tie had a small label with the former owners name (for dry cleaning, etc). The name was F. Sinatra! She went back to the thrift store and asked if the ties could have possibly belonged to THE Frank Sinatra, and the manager confirmed that his estate had recently donated a lot of his things after the big items were auctioned off. I love that she was the one who found this treasure. She's a sweet person taking care of her adult disabled son, so the money she got from selling them on eBay sure helped her out!

1947S pennies are not worth much, even in rolls and uncirculated. Collectors don't refer to pennies as pennies, by the way. They're called "cents." As for the value, it's about 50 cents each. More valuable are the earlier cents, if you can find them uncirculated in rolls: 1942S, 1935S, 1934D, and earlier. Grab yourself the official RED BOOK. It's called that because this book colored red, and it's the "Guide Book of United States Coins." Published every year, it contains photos, values, and descriptions on every US coin ever minted, including gold coins, etc. Only about $15. A must-have for anyone wanting to see if they've got something of value.

A year ago I started working driving a street sweeper truck cleaning parking lots in a small town I live in I do Walmart and Costco and big lots and several other parking lots around town subway sandwich shop Starbucks that sort of thing ever since I've been doing that job I find myself picking up trash in parking lots including cigarette butts and masks and receipts and any garbage in general even on my time off it just makes the world look better .
