I love the way the steps flip over when they reach the top. Very simple and clever.

I've ridden these at the #20 and #21 boilers at the paper mill in Bogalusa, Louisiana. They're a lot of fun. Just don't forget to get off at the top.

Thanks for posting. My husband and I both rode one like this in the Carriage House Hotel Garage, Chicago in the 1970's. The building has been torn down.

I am SO GLAD that I found this! Trying to describe a manlift to Gen Z & beyond is an insurmountable task. 👍🏻 🇺🇸

I rode one of those in a mill in 1969. The mill was built by Humphrey Construction.

I saw one of these for the first time today. My first thought was, workers paid attention to their work environment back in the day.

that is one of the coolest things i have ever seen on a job site... its hard to believe that no one gets injured from falls or striking the ceiling as you approach it. i wish that we had one right now at our brewery... one of the freight elevators is down for repair and we have 6 floors of stairs waiting right now. lol thanks for the video.
