Me and my friends had a game we used to call “let’s go poke the bear” where we would find the most biggest humongous guy in the bar that was so big, nobody would even dare to think to mess with him, so we would all start messing with him, and it never failed that we were able to always get them so pissed off that they would react was violent, they would be so big that they could never get a hold of us, and luckily, it never happened one time or anybody got hurt, it was a lot of fun and most of the time we wound up all drinking together

Hacksaw Jim Dugan told a story a while back that he was driving Andre and Andre wanted some beer, a whole case of beer (20 cans) so Jim stops at a liquor store, buys the 20 pack, hands it to Andre, and over the 90 to 120 minute drive to their hotel, Andre drinks the entire 20 cans of beer. What shocked Jim the most was that Andre never once had to take a piss after drinking 240 ounces of beer in less then 2 hours.

My grandpa drank with Andre one time. Apparently Andre drank too much, not drunk wise but finance wise, and he made the bet that if he could clean the bar he gets to drink for free that night. My grandpa decided to help and the bar allowed it. My gramps woke up at the bar still, in the morning with the employees cleaning all the bottles and replacing them for the next night. They told him that him and Andre succeeded in their mission and that Andre only looked "a bit tipsy".

He said he got drunker and drunker and convincing himself "He ain't so big and bad; I can take Andre!" and he finally got enough liquid courage to test his theory, suckered Andre, and Andre slowly turned to him and said "Why'd you do that?" before promptly putting the attacker his ass. Even Bad News Brown, who once confronted Andre on a tour bus, admitted that in a real fight he would have been killed, though he added that Andre would have had to kill him. I am glad they reconciled later on, as they were my two favourite wrestlers.
