The worst part about your videos is that you don't have one on every topic. You rock

One of the hardest things for students is figuring out how much detail is too much, because every detail is new and seems important. Lacking experience also makes pattern recognition challenging. Plus, multiple resources might be scoured for answers to common, salient questions but they tend to be buried and the search may generate further questions/hair pulling. Your videos offer a great perspective on where to start, how to prioritize, and what can be saved for future learning.

We just had a Hepatitis lecture and our professor explained it really well, but this was incredibly helpful to solidify the information and introduce a wonderful trick to remember Hep B serology! Love it, thank you!!

Best explanation as always! Another way to remember: IgM= good Morning, IgG= good night. Morning happens first then night, so igM is acute and IgG is chronic. Also, just out of curiosity, why did you choose to have triangles on your slides?

I know this is kind of extreme, but I have never forgot which hepatitis are fecal oral because I made my own Acronym. It's "Eat Ass", ( I know childish, but I have never forgot it because its too funny). "Eat" is for Hepa E, while of course "Ass" is for Hepa A. idk if that helps lol just wanted to share.

That’s a really good one thanks! The more extreme the better lol. I always find the mnemonics that are weird and extreme are the ones you never forget. Thanks for sharing!

Would you not want to use acetaminophen since it's hepatically eliminated?
@cramthepance
@cramthepance Жыл бұрын
While some guidelines state it is safe as long as its not used in excess: "Although acetaminophen may be safely used to treat some of the symptoms associated with hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection, the dosage should be no higher than 4 g/day." you have a very good point and you would probably be better off using alternative analgesics. Thanks!

@@cramthepance Thank you for the prompt reply. I did see that ibuprofen is contraindicated, so maybe not a whole lot of options.

Love your stuff, but honestly for the Hep B serology stuff, if you understand the physiology I think that would be more helpful for that rare question than memorizing all of these letters. Antibodies means your body recognized a prior invader in the past and has gotten over infection. Antigens mean the invaders is present.
